How fun is that!?

I’ve thoroughly enjoyed sharing the projects I presented during my Stamp Showcase presentation on the Main Stage in front of 2,700 people. I created and shared five new projects with the Bird Banter stamp set that will be available in Stampin’ Up!’s 2018 Occasions Catalog.  If you missed my first three projects with this new set, you can see them here:

Today I’m sharing the third card I showcased on the mainstage – I love this sentiment from Beautiful Bouquet and think these little parakeets are adorable when perched on either side. Here’s my card:

  • Products Showcased.  Each of the project I shared showcased different papers, different coloring techniques and different card styles. For this project, I’ve showcased the sweet birds on a Very Vanilla Notecard & Envelope on a backdrop of Petal Garden Designer Series Paper Stack.  The sweet birds are extra-sweet on this small card front.  Here’s a look a this new Bird Banter stamp set: Bird Banter, Stampin' Up!, Brian King, #145852Here’s the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set with this super-sweet sentiment:

Have you looked at all of the amazing sentiments in this set?  I could have used a number of sentiments for my project. And here are the colors and patterns in this super-sweet pack of papers:Petal Garden Designer Series Paper Stack, Stampin' Up!

  • Coloring the Cockatoo.  This sweet card features two super-simple coloring techniques.  I stamped the sentiment, two birds and heart with Archival Basic Black ink.  When the ink dried, I lightly colored the birds with a Calypso Coral Watercolor Pencil and blended the color a bit with a Blender Pen.  I colored the heart with a Calypso Coral Stampin’ Write Marker for a bolder look.  Nothing super-artistic here – just a simple coloring method that’s fun and easy to finish.  Here’s a look at the Watercolor Pencils:  Watercolor Pencils, Stampin' Up! 141709These pencils are included in this week’s Online Extravaganza (they are 20% OFF through November 26 or while supplies last).  To check out this sale and the other items on sale this week, click on the banner below:Stampin' Up!'s 2017 Online Extravaganza
  • Color Combination.  Calypso Coral is a beautiful accent in the Pool Party and Old Olive piece of Petal Garden Designer Series Paper Stack. I was so happy to have the Calypso Coral Watercolor Pencil and Calypso Coral Stampin’ Write Marker to color the stamped images on the oval.  If you like this color combination as much as I do, please save this: Stampin' Up!
