Lots of Happy

While I was in Charleston, South Carolina this past week visiting Mom for Christmas, I was able to get in a little bit of crafting time with Michelle Ratliff and Barbara Moody, my friends who live in Goose Creek. While they worked on projects with the Barn Door Bundle from the 2018 Occasions Catalog, I mindlessly (and happily) colored and assembled cards from the Lots of Happy Card Kit.

Here is a quick picture of the five cards I completed – the kit makes a total of 20 cards:

The Lots of Happy Card Kit is one of my all-time favorite kits! The images and papers are all black-and-white, and we get to add all the color. AND the kit includes the makings for 20 cards – four each of five sizes of cards with coordinating envelopes. Here’s a look at components of the kit:

This is an all-inclusive set because it also includes a coordinating stamp set (it’s shown in the top, right corner of the photo above). Here’s a closer look at this super-fun stamp set:

As you can tell from the picture above, this kit includes full-size Watercolor Pencils in Flirty Flamingo, Lemon Lime Twist, Old Olive, and Rich Razzleberry. As I packed my crafting bags to head out of town, I knew I’d want to play color these flowers and leaves with my Stampin’ Blends, so I packed those up and carried them with me.

What makes this kit even more awesome? There’s a refill kit available. You get all the makings except for the watercolor pencils, stamp set and ink pad. Here’s a look at the refill:

OK – the Refill is awesome, but it’s not as fun as stamping with friends. <3

Thanks for stopping by today!

  1. These are perfectly colored! You have made me rethink this kit for sure.

    • Thanks so much, Jackie! I love the colors they chose for the Watercolor Pencils, but I was excited to ink these images with my Stampin’ Blends. It’s a great kit – rethink it. πŸ™‚

  2. Nice job! Makes a very nice gift.

  3. Each one gorgeous. You inspired me to work with my Stampin’ Blends today – beautiful coloring, BK!

  4. Love all inclusive kits! And this one is perfect for Blends or Color Pencils – two of my favs. Nicely done, Brian!

  5. This kit really has a lot in it. I can see by the samples you showed what a super kit it is. So glad you got to spend some time with Mary. I bet she just loved having you there.

    • Thanks, Grace! We were at Mom’s for an entire week – didn’t really post anything here or on Facebook as I didn’t want to give the heads-up that our house would be empty. Luckily, I have neighbors who kept an eye on the house. It was a great trip! <3

  6. Beautiful kit. Especially with the Blends – going to finish mine that way! πŸ™‚

  7. Brian this looks like an awesome kit that could make anyone look like an awesome crafter, even me. Putting this on my β€œMust Have” list immediately. I’m sure you and the ladies had a blast crafting together, but most importantly you were able to spend the holiday with Mary.

  8. I bought this kit but have not looked at it. I must admit I bought it for the extra colors of watercolor pencils!!!! I guess I can play with both the blends and the pencils when I get it out to play with. I have cardstock and other supplies in several piles in several rooms and I had better consolidate some of it before playing with my new stuff. These are so pretty though and maybe an incentive for me to get at least the piles hidden?

    • Ha! Thanks so much for your comments, Chris! You’ll love the kit – everything you need is right there. Just grab some adhesive – you can finish the entire kit in one place. πŸ™‚ Good luck with the paper consolidations!

  9. Lovely! πŸ™‚ It was one of my first “gotta have it” products, but it hasn’t made it to my house quite yet. It will though. Thanks for sharing your lovely coloring. Happy New Year!
