Fabulous in Flirty Flamingo

Today is going to be a great day, but I can’t imagine how it could be better than my yesterday. Today I get to experience the joy of Stampin’ Up!’s 2018 Annual Catalog with tons of my friends and team members (also friends) – while I’m also recovering from the wall-to-wall excitement of yesterday’s Spring Stamp-Along. As part of the event, I hosted a card swap. Today I’m sharing my swap for the event. Here’s my card:

Fabulous Flamingo, Tabs for Everything, Stampin' Up!, Brian King

Tips, Tricks and Reminders

  • Fabulous Flamingo & Tabs for Everything. My card features two stamp sets from Stampin’ Up!’s 2017 Annual Catalog – Fabulous Flamingo (a photopolymer multi-step stamp) and Tabs for Everything (a fun set with lots of opportunity to build words). Here’s a look at Fabulous Flamingo: Fabulous Flamingo, Stampin' Up!, 143758All of the images, including the background of leaves on the Lemon Lime Twist panel, are from the set. Fabulous Flamingo, Tabs for Everything, Stampin' Up!, Brian KingThe two words are stamped with Tabs for Everything, punched with a 1″ Circle punch and framed with a scalloped circle from the Layering Circles Framelits Dies. Here’s a look at the Tabs for Everything bundle:  Tabs for Everything Bundle, Stampin' Up! 145364How cute! Even if the set and punch continue, the bundled pricing retires as the end of this catalog period.
  • Color Combination. While Flirty Flamingo will retire (unless it’s saved by a color refresh), I still had to pull it out with this fun flamingo. Funny thing – when I sat down to design my swap card for this event, I didn’t intend to mock the colors from my card for the OnStage event in November, but I did. Here’s a look at my swap card using Bird Banter (you can click on this picture to see the original post for this card): Bird Banter, Flirty Flowers, Hello Color, Stampin' Up!, Brian KingApparently, I love these colors together. If you like this combination as much as I do, please save this:Stampin' Up! Color Inspiration: Lemon Lime Twist, Pool Party, Flirty Flamingo
  • Infinity Shots. When I make multiples of a project, I like to line them all up and grab an infinity shot of the cards. It’s just a fun way to capture all the work in one place. Here’s a fun shot of these cards (not all of them made it into the picture): Fabulous Flamingo, Tabs for Everything, Stampin' Up!, Brian KingAnd here’s another view:Fabulous Flamingo, Tabs for Everything, Stampin' Up!, Brian King
