Number of Years for CTS269

For this week’s CAS(E) This Sketch challenge, I pulled out my beloved Number of Years stamp set and Large Numbers Framelits Dies for one last spin before they retire at the end of May. The flowers in this fun set were perfect for this sketch – and the numbers and sentiments rounded out the card perfectly. Here’s the front of my card:

Tips, Tricks and Reminders

  • Number of Years. There was a collective gasp across the world when we all realized the Number of Years and coordinating Large Numbers Framelits would be retiring at the end of May. We have found wonderful ways to use these numbers for all kinds of celebrations – and they pair perfectly with the Letters for You stamp set and coordinating Large Letters Framelits Dies. If you have those dies, then you’ll definitely want these. Here’s a look at the Large Numbers Framelits Dies: Large Numbers Framelits Dies, Stampin' Up! 140622And here’s a look at the awesome, coordinating stamp set that I used on this card today: Number of Years, Stampin' Up! 140653Don’t delay! These items are currently being sold on a while-supplies-last basis – if you want them (and I know you do), be sure to get them today. 🙂
  • The Inside. How bold and rich does the number on the front of this card look? I love these numbers – they are perfect for celebrating a milestone birthday or anniversary or year. With just a “45” on the outside of the card, the inside is even more special. I love this sentiment – “the number of years the world has been a better place because you’re in it.” How sweet is that?! Here’s a look at the inside of this card: Number of Years, Stampin' Up!, Brian King, birthday card, CTS269I repeated the flowers on the inside of the card, adding just a touch of them in the bottom, left corner. It adds a little something special on the inside and ties the design back to the front of the card.
  • Color Combination. I’m so happy to work with Blackberry Bliss again – the much-loved deep purple is coming back in 2018’s Annual Catalog (if you missed my post about the returning colors, you can read it here). The richness of Blackberry Bliss really helps Calypso Coral and Old Olive to pop on this card. If you like this combination as much as I do, please save this:Stampin' Up!
