Sneak Peek: Abstract Impressions Thank You Cards

Stampin’ Up! demonstrators are now able to order select items from Stampin’ Up!’s 2018 Annual Catalog this week. When we received the list of new items we are able to pre-order, we were all so excited! It’s a long, awesome list! Who doesn’t love receiving new products?!

For the reveal of the new catalog and the unveiling of the Color Refresh at Stampin’ Up!’s OnStage event early last month, I created a business video for Stampin’ Up! that was shared at the CenterStage events for top demonstrators. What a thrill for me to be asked! I was given great license to write and share what I wanted about the changes in the colors and how wonderful they are for our creativity and business. There’s something crazy about seeing your face on the jumbo-screen while having dinner with friends.

CenterStage 2018, Brian KingTo prepare for my video, I worked with Donna Griffith from Stampin’ Up!’s home office and loved every minute of the experience. Donna is one of my favorite people. She and I became great friends after she traveled to Atlanta for one of my World Card Making Day events (and became closer after a few more). Donna also coached me through my Bird Banter presentation at Stampin’ Up!’s OnStage in November.

After I submitted the video to Stampin’ Up!, Donna sent me the nicest gift in the mail. Along with a sweet thank you card and a Stampin’ Up! pin for my lapel, she sent me a trio of sweet-and-simple thank you cards that were perfectly bundled and wrapped.

Here’s a look at one of the cards I received:

Abstract Impressions, Stampin' Up!, by Donna Griffith, thank you cardThe card features a sweet new stamp set called Abstract Impressions – there are so many great ways to turn this stamp set (and coordinating dies) into a masterpiece. I predict this bundle is going to be one of the top sellers from Stampin’ Up!’s 2018 Annual Catalog. Here’s a look at Abstract Impressions bundle:

Abstract Impressions Bundle, Stampin' Up! 148348Just look at those gorgeous images and the super-sweet sentiments. THAT is a stamp set you can love. As I mentioned above, there was more than just one card – the package included three notecards, all sweetly stamped with new colors and new stamps. What a sweet gift!

Abstract Impressions, Stampin' Up!, by Donna Griffith, thank you cardThe cards were uniquely wrapped inside a clear medium envelope (what a great idea) that was backed with a piece of Coastal Cabana Designer Series Paper (even demonstrators aren’t able to buy this paper yet, so this is a super-fun surprise) and wrapped with this gorgeous piece of Granny Apple Green 1/2″ Textured Weave Ribbon (also not on our pre-order).

Abstract Impressions, Stampin' Up!, by Donna Griffith, thank you cardI’m in awe of what a great gift this makes! Such a simple idea with a great impact! Donna is the queen of thoughtful gifts that mean so much. Here are the products Donna used to create this thoughtful gift:

Stamp Sets: Abstract Impressions  Papers: Whisper White Notecards & Envelopes, Brights 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper, Thick Whisper White  Inks: Coastal Cabana, Granny Apple Green, Tuxedo Black Memento  Accessories: 2″ Circle punch, Basic Jewels Clear Rhinestones, Clear Medium Envelope, Granny Apple Green 1/2″ Textured Weave Ribbon

    • 🙂 Thanks, Sonny! I received lots of messages from people that day who were watching my video in CenterStage – more pictures of me on a jumbo screen than I can take. 🙂 These cards are absolutely adorable, right?! <3

  6. Well, thank goodness you aren’t camera shy Brian! LOL It must be weird to see yourself on the jumbo-screen! What fun. I love the quick and easy thank you notes created with this new set and what a wonderful way to say thank you. I never thought of making someone a pack of thank you cards to thank them for something they did but now that you’ve put that in my head I’m going to start doing it. These cards are just so simple and beautiful. Thanks for sharing your gift.

    • Although I make cards almost every day, it was a lovely gift to receive handmade cards that I can then send to others. <3 So glad you like them, Grace!

  7. I’m going to love this stamp set! It reminds me so much of the retired Painted Petals stam set . . .

  8. i was helping a friend look for your color combos on pinterest for her scrapbook class . When i noticed that the stampin up colors were very close to the different yarns which i use in my crochet class . with your color combos i was able to explain better the terms hue , shades , tones and blending .

    • How fun! I find inspirations for color combinations everywhere. I’ve even seen some yarn colors that inspire me. Happy to know it goes the other way, too! <3 Thanks for leaving me a comment, Sarah!

  9. Well I love that Donna and her card set is super sweet! Wish I could have seen your video in person…..I’d have been cheering!
