A Big Thank You with Animal Outing

As I mentioned yesterday, I’m in St. Louis this weekend, attending Sally Nusbaum’s Stampin’ Up! event. What fun! I’ll share more about my day later this week. For now, I’m busting at the seams to share the swap card I made for the event. Yay! Here’s my card:

Animal Outing, Birthday Backgrounds, Stampin' Up!, Brian King, thank you cardI made A LOT of this card for the event I attended yesterday. It was very time-consuming, but I completed the project in stages and am happy with the end result. Here’s a look at one of my infinity shots of this card:

Tips, Tricks and Reminders

  • Animal Outing & Birthday Backgrounds. How sweet is this rhinoceros? Attendees at Stampin’ Up!’s OnStage received this set in April, and the rhino has quickly become a favorite – AND he’s perfect with this “thank you BIG TIME” sentiment.  Love it! Here’s a look at this fun stamp set: Animal Outing stamp set, Stampin' Up!To create the Pool Party background (represents the sky behind my rhino), I stamped the starburst image from the Birthday Backgrounds stamp set (that I received at OnStage) with Pool Party ink. • Stampin’ Blends. After such high demand in March, Stampin’ Up! was forced to turn off the product numbers for Stampin’ Blends, alcohol markers in many of our exclusive Stampin’ Up! colors. All of the original Blends (except for the retiring Pink Pirouette) will be back in the new catalog, AND there are lots of new Stampin’ Blends in the 2018 Annual Catalog – all of the 2018-2020 In Colors and Flirty Flamingo, Granny Apple Green, Highland Heather, Mint Macaron, Petal Pink, Poppy Parade, Soft Sea Foam and Soft Suede. I used Smoky Slate, Daffodil Delight and Pumpkin Pie Blends to to color this this rhino and his sweet friend: Animal Outing, Birthday Backgrounds, Stampin' Up!, Brian King, thank you cardStampin’ Blends will be back in stock when the catalog launches on June 1. Be ready to place your orders early so that you don’t miss out. These are CERTAIN to be popular, and I don’t want you to miss out.
  • A Sweet Background. The panel of cardstock behind my rhino is a soft combination of Pear Pizzazz and Pool Party. I added a small strip of Daffodil Delight to brighten things up a big – and I colored the bird yellow to match. ๐Ÿ™‚ If you like this combination of Pear Pizzazz, Pool Party and Daffodil Delight, please save this:Stampin' Up!
