A Friendly Hello with This Little Piggy

This week’s Global Design Project theme challenge is going to be super-fun! I can’t wait to see all of the projects you’ll make with a country/farm life theme. How fun is that?! While there are many products in the new catalog that perfectly fit this theme, but my heart took me right to the adorable pigs in the the This Little One stamp set. Here’s my card:

  • This Little Pig in Petal Pink. I adore the sweet pigs in the This Little Pig stamp set – each one of them conveys a distinctly adorable expression. I chose this little guy for my card because I think he has a slightly sarcastic smile on his face – and I LOVE that. This Little Piggy, Bouquet Blooms, Another Wonderful Year, Stampin' Up!, Brian KingI stamped the sunburst ring from the Bouquet Blooms stamp set directly on this dotted page of the Twinkle Twinkle Designer Series paper and cropped it with a Layering Circles Framelits Die. I love this new stamp set: Bouquet Blooms, Stampin 'Up!, 146503I added a sentiment from another new set that I love – the Another Great Year stamp set. It’s full of amazing sentiments – I cropped this one by cutting off the word “just” because it was too long across the front. I love the shortened version. • Petal Pink Stampin’ Blends. I could hardly wait to color one of these pigs with the new Petal Pink Stampin’ Blends – and it was as exciting as I had hoped. These alcohol markers make it SO EASY to color with a smooth, streak-free appearance. I pulled away a little bit of color with my Color Lifter marker. The effect doesn’t appear immediately, but you’ll be so happy when it does. All of the Stampin’ Blends are in stock right now – here are the new colors: New Stampin' Blends ColorsI used my Light Pool Party Stampin’ Blend to color “the sky” behind my sweet pig on the Thick Whisper White circle to add a little extra life to the sweet image.
  • Soft, Sweet Colors. The colors for this card were lifted right out of the Twinkle Twinkle Designer Series paper – such a lovely collection of sweet colors. If you love the combination of Pool Party, Petal Pink and Gray Granite as much as I do, please save this: Stampin' Up!
