Hooray – Let’s Celebrate You

Last week and over the weekend I shared two of the projects I designed for Louise Sharp’s stamping event in Kiama, Australia. It was such an honor to create these projects and share them with Louise and her retreat attendees. All three of the projects use the Broadway Birthday Bundle. Today I am sharing the last project in the trio. If you missed the first projects, you can see them here:

Here’s the third project in the trio of Broadway Birthday beauties:

Tips, Tricks and Reminders

  • Broadway Birthday Bundle. With all three of the projects I’ve shared from Louise’s event, the Broadway Birthday Bundle has been getting quite a workout. I adore the fun sentiments and shapes in this bundle – what better way to celebrate someone you love on their birthday or when they simply do something awesome. While I’m mostly drawn to the “wish” sentiments in this bundle, I used the super-versatile “hooray” sentiment for this card. • Fun Layering – and a Balloon. There are two fun layering elements on this card. One is all stamps, and one is all dies. The “Hooray” sentiment comes in two pieces – (1) I stamped the big, bold sentiment in Coastal Cabana on Whisper White and (2) I used Bermuda Bay to stamp the coordinating dots that layer right over the big sentiment. I LOVE this. It allows you to go bold or add the fun dots – heck, you can even just use the dots. The die cut layers are fun, too! The black panel on this card were the starting point for the frame I used on my Silver Gable Box project I shared on Sunday. How fun is that?! I layered a “hidden panel” of Coastal Cabana just behind the black panel so the bright blue would pop through the Pineapple Punch frame. Broadway Birthday Bundle, Stampin' Up!, Brian King, birthday cardI hadn’t intended to add the balloon, but my card needed something else. Such a bonus that the balloon image and dies were right there in the bundle – gave me exactly what I needed!
  • Celebration of Colors. I love when bright colors clash with dark colors in a perfect harmony. Coastal Cabana is bright and cheery, but Pineapple Punch is even brighter. Against a panel of black, these two are pure perfection. If you like this combination of Pineapple Punch, Coastal Cabana and Basic Black, please save this:Stampin' Up! • Two thoughts are A-OK, Dianne! 🙂 Glad you like it – the yellow wasn’t part of my original design, but the card evolved as I played. Thanks! <3
