Designer Series Papers from Stampin’ Up!’s 2018 Holiday Catalog

The wonderful hobby of paper crafting is all about beautiful papers, amazing inks and stamps that tell a story or express a feeling. We love the colors that work so perfectly together, and we adore the tools that allow us to create projects we can share with others. Since I first entered elementary school, I have loved pages of paper – I love to stack them and sort them. I love to organize them and file them. I love to write on them and fold them. Perhaps that’s why I always reach for my Designer Series Papers when creating a project – the colors and designs are great, and they give me an amazing starting point for a project.

2018 Holiday Catalog Designer Series Papers

Stampin’ Up!’s 2018 Holiday Catalog is filled with some amazing, new Designer Series Papers, and I want to share them all with you today. For each paper, I’ve included the product number, name and Stampin’ Up! colors featured in each. You can click on any of these pictures to see them in my online store (where there are also projects to showcase each and a closer look at each of the pages). I’ve also included my favorite color combination from each of these papers. How fun! Here are the Designer Series Papers from this new catalog:

All is Bright (#147892)

There are three types of Christmas images represented in the All is Bright pack of Designer Series Papers:

  • Traditional images with a playful twist (Christmas lights, stockings and dots) in bright red and green colors.
  • Gorgeous photo-real images with a classy vibe (beautiful greenery and gold ornaments)
  • All-purpose images that can be used outside of Christmas (green, red and brown tones)

Rustic plaids, stripes, wood patterns and stars make up this versatile pack of papers that can be used perfectly at Christmastime – and some of the patterns can be used during the year.

Four of the designs (the first one of the top row and the first, third and fifth on the bottom row) have white flocking that gives the paper a fun texture.

  1. I think SU has an amazing array of beautiful DSP this time…both in the annual and holiday catalogs. I find when I have a busy day with no time for making a card, if I go in my craft studio and take a minute or two to look through some pretty papers , it is calming. Am I the only one? Have a good one, Brian.

    • You are not alone in that, Hilda! Not only is it calming to just look through paper, but it’s also inspiring. If I’m ever at a loss for what to make, a flip through some paper always gives me an idea. <3

  2. Really shows off the patterns and color possibilities. Great post1

  3. Love those plaids in the Festive Farmhouse paper!

  4. Stampin Up’s DSP keeps getting better and better.

  5. I use to think I must be a bit daffy because I loved paper ! I would get giddy just to get new office or school supplies or go to the Hallmark store to look at the cards or wrapping paper . Then one day I got invited to a card making party …… BLISS !! I admit I am addicted to DSP !!
The dsp never looks as good in the catty as it does in your hands . I think this holiday group is much prettier and festive and cuter and I just love shuffling through it ! I use it many different ways too .
Thank you for the display with color choices ! This is FUN !

    • Thanks for your comments, Sonny! I couldn’t agree with you more. Always loved paper and was THRILLED to be invited to my first stamping party. It’s always fun to share with people like you, Sonny! <3

  6. So many pretty papers! Thanks for the nice review. I love all of the papers, especially the photograph papers, so vibrant.
