Nothing Sweeter for Christmas

There are always a few hidden gems in Stampin’ Up! catalogs – the 2018 Holiday Catalog is no exception. As we take in the catalog, we flip right past some products because we don’t think we need them – then we see cute projects made with the passed-by products and everything changes. Today I’m sharing a sweet card I made with a hidden gem of a bundle – Nothing Sweeter – that I’ve recently fallen in love with. Here’s my card:

Nothing Sweeter, Warm Hearted, Stampin' Up!, Brian King

Tips, Tricks and Reminders

  • Nothing Sweeter & Warm Hearted. I love a good sentiment stamp set – and Stampin’ Up! has given us a gorgeous, multi-holiday set with Warm Hearted. You can buy Warm Hearted for just $10 in Stampin’ Rewards with a qualifying order of $150 or more. If you’d like to learn more about how to earn Stampin’ Rewards, please email me here. Warm Hearted Host Set, Stampin' Up!, 147777How perfectly does this sweet “Merry Christmas” sentiment pair with this cropped Christmas tree on my card? The flat top of the sentiment begs for a topper showpiece – and this sweet tree is jut what it needs! Here’s a look at the elements of the Nothing Sweeter Bundle:Nothing Sweeter Bundle, Stampin' Up! 149955How perfect are these two sets together?!
  • A Closer Look at Nothing Sweeter. This Nothing Sweeter Bundle is meant to resemble frosted cookies – and the result is really sweet (pun intended). Here’s a look at a Stampin’ Up!-made sample from the Holiday Catalog: Nothing Sweeter, Stampin' Up!In this sample, the Cookie outline is stamped with Soft Suede ink on Crumb Cake cardstock and cropped with a heart-shaped die from the Sweetly Stitched Framelits Dies. The artist who created this project then applied White Embossing Paste to the inside of the heart to give it the look of a frosted cookie. How sweet is that?! Nothing Sweeter, Warm Hearted, Stampin' Up!, Brian KingFor my project, I stamped the outline of the tree with Mossy Meadow ink on Mossy Meadow cardstock. I cropped the tree with a tree-shaped die from the Sweetly Stitched Framelits Dies and added the stitched element at the same time with that die. I added a Crushed Curry star from the snowflakes in Santa’s Signposts Framelits Dies. A perfect fit!
  • Festive Farmhouse. If you are looking for a Designer Series Paper to frame a sweet Christmas tree, Festive Farmhouse has twelve options. I chose this page with Mossy Meadow and Whisper White stripes. Such a rich pattern that allows the tree to shine.
