Fill Your Heart with Joy Christmas Card

I love a big, beautiful sentiment, and today I’m showcasing one that gets lost in a featured stamp set in Stampin’ Up!’s 2018 Holiday Catalog. “May the beauty of the season fill your heart with joy” is such a gorgeous sentiment in the Merry Christmas to All stamp Bundle – a bundle that features 28 stamps that can be used in many combinations. Here’s the card I made to showcases this gorgeous sentiment:

Merry Christmas to All, Stampin' Up!, Brian King, Christmas cardTips, Tricks and Reminders

  • Merry Christmas to All. Did you see this sentiment in the Merry Christmas to All stamp set? With so many great words and phrases to take in, it’s easy to miss this beautiful, big, bold sentiment. While this stamp is featured on the front of my card, it’s also a good one for the inside of a card – especially for those who just want to sign their name on this inside (you know who you are). Here’s a look at the must-have Merry Christmas to All Bundle:Merry Christmas to All Bundle, Stampin' Up!, 149952See the sentiment in the bottom, right corner of the stamp set? It looks small here – that’s because the images are shown at 70% of their actual size (there are just too many to fit on the front of the stamp case).
  • Making Mistletoe. I needed something to tuck into the open space at the bottom, left of this sentiment to balance the open space next to the word “joy.” That’s when I cropped two sprigs with the Sprig Punch with Mossy Meadow cardstock. Because you get clean cuts with punches, I flipped one of the sprigs over so that the little branches would bend in opposite directions – that way, they don’t look like exact replicas of each other. Here’s a closer look:Sprig Punch Mistletoe, Stampin' Up!, Brian King, Christmas cardI “tied” my mistletoe together with a tiny bow from Alpine Sports Thinlits Dies and added a little Pearl Basic Jewel after I colored it with a Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Blends Marker. It’s a cute addition to this card, don’t you think? Here’s a look at the Sprig Punch that can be used for all sorts of accents on your projects:Sprig Punch, Stampin' Up!, 148012
  • Festive Farmhouse. The backdrop for this sentiment and mistletoe is a panel of plaid paper from the Festive Farmhouse Designer Series Paper. I love the pages in this pack of papers and have used it lots. 1. Perfection, yet again, Mr. King! Love the sentiment as focal point; another high-impact design. Thanks for the great start to my day. Hope yours is outstanding too!

  2. I love this card! The colors, the paper, (of course) ,the sentiment, and I’m thinking I need that punch!

    • Thanks so much, Candy! I really love the sprigs as mistletoe, but they are perfect as accents with flowers or around sentiments. <3 Glad you like it.

  3. Magnificent! I love the crisp plaid and beautiful sentiment. The sprigs are the perfect pop of personality!

    • Thanks so much, Mary! I love this sentiment – and this paper couldn’t be more beautiful. With elements like these, it was easy to create a beautiful card. <3

  4. Love, love, love this card, Brian. All the elements are so perfect for an outstanding card. Loving the big, bold sentiment with the plaid. Have a great day!

    • Thanks so much, Hilda! I’ve been sitting on this card for a week and was happy to finally share it. Glad you like it. As always, thanks for your comments! <3

  8. This card is a knock out Brian! I love that the saying takes center stage and I keep forgetting about coloring pearls! The crumb cake base really makes the traditional colors (I love the traditional Christmas colors) of the card really pop! Definitely a winner in my book. Thanks for sharing you dynamic designs as always.

  9. Love the card and the sprigs, bow and pearl are the perfect addition. Stella as always!

    • Thanks so much, Dianne! I added the bow when the sprig looked lonely. I added the pearl when the bow looked lonely. So glad you like the combination. <3

  10. Another stunner! Loving the fonts and size of that sentiment!

  11. This sentiment definitely did get lost, and that set and the punch just moved onto my wish list. Love the simplicity of this card.

  12. Beautiful, Brian. I love all the different elements and the sentiment is gorgeous. Another winner!

  13. Stunner! You make it look effortless, Brian!

    • Thanks so much, Sheryl! If you only knew how long these elements moved around my craft table until this card was made. 🙂 I’m so happy you like it.

  14. Love it!

  15. Love this card!! Wish you would include the measurements for all the parts.

    • Thanks, Joann! Glad you like it. Unfortunately (or fortunately), this card was mailed out so I don’t have the exact measurements. Often times my layers are dependent on the paper or sentiment I’m using. On this card, I cut the plaid paper along the plaid design and then created a frame that’s just 1/8″ wider and longer. Thanks for your kind comments.
