Winter Woods this Christmas

Today I’m sharing a quick-and-easy card I made with my local stamp club last week. I’ve been mesmerized by these birch trees from Winter Woods since I first saw the set – and this is the first time I’ve inked them up. Love, love, love. Here’s my card:

Winter Woods, Stampin' Up!, Brian KingTips, Tricks and Reminders

  • Winter Woods. We stampers love our tree stamps. I am thrilled that Stampin’ Up! introduced the Winter Woods Bundle in the 2018 Holiday Catalog. Not only do we have great tree-themed stamps to play with, but we have a bunch of great, coordinating dies. So many ways to showcase these trees. Here’s a look at the Winter Woods Bundle:Winter Woods Bundle, Stampin' Up!, 149992I was hesitant to stamp with these birch trees for fear that I’d struggle to line them up perfectly. That was a silly fear – the rubber stamp has relatively straight edges, so it’s easy to line up without trouble. I stamped the trees sideways and worked my way across the Whisper White panel. So easy!
  • Frosted Bouquet Framelits. I adorned my sentiment with two sets of dies from the Holiday Catalog. The Shaded Spruce leaves that pop out of either side of the sentiment are cropped with the In the Woods Framelits Dies (part of the bundle showcased above). The frame around this sentiment is cut with two dies from the Frosted Bouquet Framelits Dies. I LOVE this shape and will use it often. • Christmas Colors. For years and years, Garden Green and Old Olive have been our go-to greens for Christmas. I still love both of them, but I’ve been reaching for Shaded Spruce a lot lately. Love it! If you love this combination of Gray Granite, Cherry Cobbler and Shaded Spruce, please save this:Stampin' Up! Color Inspiration - Gray Granite, Cherry Cobbler, Shaded Spruce

The simple but bold sentiment, so beautifully framed, conveys your greeting loud and clear. Love the bright greenery popping from behind, it finishes this elegant card perfectly.
