Signs of Santa for CTS297

I’ve had a stamped and cropped North Pole sign sitting on the corner of my desk for several weeks. Today’s CAS(E) This Sketch Challenge gave me the perfect opportunity to color it with my Stampin’ Blends and showcase it on a card. Tips, Tricks and Reminders

• Signs of Santa. I’m in love with the stocky, eyes-closed characters in the Signs of Santa stamp set. As the bundle name suggests, though, there are also some great signs in the set – and they all point to the North Pole. I love the whimsy of it all. The Signs of Santa stamp set and coordinating Santa’s Signpost Framelits Dies are a perfect pair. They also coordinate with a suite of products (papers, bags, enamel shapes, twine, ribbon and Memories & More cards) that will make you very happy this Christmas. Here’s a closer look at this fun Signs of Santa Bundle: My sign is showcased on a Poppy Parade polka-dot paper from the coordinating Santa’s Workshop Specialty Designer Series Paper. Here’s a look at the colors and patterns in this fun pack of papers:
• It’s a Sign! I love the this sweet sign that points us to the joy of Christmas. I stamped the sign with Tuxedo Black Memento ink on Thick Whisper White. I colored the stripes of the pole with a Dark Pool Party Stampin’ Blends marker and the ball of the pole with a Light Pool Party Stampin’ Blends marker (I then lightened it even more with a Color Lifter). The sign is colored with a Light Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends MarkerAfter it all dried, I dabbed some Wink of Stella Glitter Brush over the snow parts of the image – it’s subtle and hard to see here, but the glitter adds a great touch. The water-based Wink of Stella isn’t meant to work with Memento Ink, so be sure to carefully dab it in the white spaces of the image.
• Sweet Color Combination. I adore this bright panel of Poppy Parade paper, and it works wonderfully with splashes of soft Pool Party. It’s a color combination I use a lot. If you like this combination of Whisper White, Pool Party and Poppy Parade, please save this:
