DAY TWO: 2018 Holiday One-for-One Card Swap

I’m so excited to share another batch of beautiful cards from my 2018 Holiday One-for-One Card Swap. Over the past month, I’ve been running to my mail box to collect the GORGEOUS cards for my swap. In a series of several posts over the next week, I will share each of these beautiful cards with everyone. There’s so much wonderful inspiration to share!

2018 Holiday One-for-One Card Swap - Day Two, 10 great swap cardsToday’s projects all feature snow and snowmen. How fun! I love these swaps because they showcase beautiful projects from card makers at ALL SKILL LEVELS – some are brand new to the craft, and others have been creating for years. Please look them over, admire their beauty and then let the creators know how beautiful their cards are (I already know you’ll be kind with your comments, but I am going to request it, anyway).

If you participated in the swap and don’t see the card you received here, please wait to comment about that card when it shows up on my blog – that way, the creator of that card will be sure to see your comments.

  1. Such great cards. Would love to know how Chris Robinson made the boots for her pig. This would be the perfect card to CASE for one of my cousins.

    • Peggy, I fussy cut the stockings/boots from the All Is Bright paper sort of cutting more in a boot shape. We wouldn’t want his “feet” to get cold. The snow is pieces of the velvet paper that was part of the November snowflake suite.

    • i bet you $5 that she fussy cut those out lol 🙂

  2. Let it snow creativity! This is such a delight to see, from the magnificence of snowflakes to a cute pig in boots!

  3. I see my card here but not the one I received yet.
Love all of these fabulous cards, what fun it must have been for you Brian, to go to your mailbox and find it full of the happiest of mail.

      • Hello Laurel, I’m so glad you liked my card, those little snowmen on this set are simply adorable.
Thank you for participating on Brian’s Holiday Card Swap, I’ve done it from the first one back in 2012 I think, it’s fun and so awesome to receive a handmade card from somewhere in the USA., hope you keep participating in the next one.
        Hugs.
        Maria Rodriguez.

  14. I was lucky enough to receive Carmen Caldieraro’s card in the swap. Don’t you just love the fun, bright colors and flurry of snowflakes? I sure do! Thanks for sharing your great card Carmen!

  15. Wonderful cards! Good work, crafters!

  16. Peggy, I fussy cut the stockings/boots from the All Is Bright paper sort of cutting more in a boot shape. We wouldn’t want his “feet” to get cold. The snow is pieces of the velvet paper that was part of the November snowflake suite. Yes Jen I live in Iowa so this was a natural choice. Now, I need to find some ice skates for him. I was trying to use all current stamps and papers. Keeping all the elements in relation to size was a bit hard. That striped burlap trim was fun to use to give some movement to his scarf. It is soft and easy to work with. Glad everyone liked it. All the cards are truly wonderful. So many wonderful ideas to CASE. Thank you Brian for hosting this swap.

  17. I loved them all but Yvonne’s card really caught my eye. My guess would be that she is a quilter also as her design appears to be the same square that in quilting is called “Deck of Cards”. I immediately fell in love with that one. ALL of the cards are wonderful and it’s such fun to see what each card “artist” has created. Thanks again Brian for sharing all these beautiful creations.

  18. Two days of amazing cards! The creative talent you inspire, Brian, really shines through in your followers. Thank you for these 1 to 1 card swaps~every single card would be a delight to receive. Bravo to all the participants.

Thanks again Brian for sharing and hosting the swap. Such fun!!!!

  21. So many beauties!

  22. Mary Jo Thalhammer

I am the lucky one to receive Arlene Humphreys snowflake card. I love snowflakes and love how she chose to use the galvanized paper from the holiday catalog. Now I have another way to use it. This was my first time joining the exchange, it’s so much fun, I’ll be doing it again. Thanks Brian.

  23. It’s a snow day! We don’t often see snow in south Texas but loved all these beautiful cards of snow and snowmen on my screen today! Thanks, Brian!

  24. I am the lucky recipient of Judy’s snowman “Joy” card- my daughter and I both love it and are now contemplating the snowman stamp set!! Thanks so much for such an inspiring card.

  25. I enjoyed all of the cards, but was instantly drawn to the color combination and design of the card made by Yvonne. I love snow, and enjoyed looking at these cards as I watched the snow falling out my back window.

  26. Another parade of delight! Great job everyone!

  27. They are all great cards. Thanks for hosting, Brian.

  28. Thanks, Brian, for hosting this fun swap! It was fun to see my quilted Joy card in your line-up. To Larae & Grace, thank you for you kind comments on my card. I have been a quilter for many years and this card was inspired by a ‘Tossed Nine-Patch’ demonstration I attended at this year’s local quilt show. As I watched the lady manipulate the fabric squares, all I could think about was how exciting that would be using paper instead.

  29. What a flurry of winter wonderful cards!

  30. I rcvd Jennifer Lane’s cute snowflake card. It’s very elegant! Loved this way of swapping Brian!

  31. I love these cards!
