Over the past several weeks, I’ve shared several projects that feature new products – I love creating new projects with brand new product and sharing those sneak peeks with you. The time before a new catalog is so exciting! I’m also thrilled to share the 2019 Occasions Catalog and 2019 Sale-a-Bration Brochure with my customers – I started mailing these books to my customers last week, and the last batch was mailed out today. I can imagine their joy as they flip through the pages. While I can’t yet post the entire publications online, I can show you the front cover of the books. What fun! Let’s take a look!

Here are the front covers of Stampin’ Up!’s 2019 Occasions Catalog and 2019 Sale-a-Bration Brochure (both books are live on January 3, 2019):

Stampin' Up!'s 2019 Occasions Catalog and Sale-a-Bration BrochureOn Friday, I shared details about three of the projects on the front cover of the Occasions Catalog. Today I’m going to focus on some of the incredible products used to create projects on the front cover of the Sale-a-Bration brochure. Here’s a closer look:

2019 Sale-a-Bration coverThere’s nothing like a handmade, hand-delivered card, right? That’s what I see on the front cover of Stampin’ Up!’s 2019 Sale-a-Bration Brochure. Flowers and butterflies abound on this cover. The projects featured on the cover showcase many of the new products that can be earned in Sale-a-Bration’s new offerings. How fun!

I want to zoom in a bit and chat with you about the three focal images on this cover. Here’s a closer look at the three cards on the front of the catalog:

2019 Sale-a-Bration coverYou can look at the beautiful cover all day, but don’t you want to know what products are being showcased there? I’m going to walk through the products on each of these cards and share the products used on each.

1 – Purple, Floral Card

I think first card (we’ll call it The Purple, Floral Card) is gorgeous! What a beautiful mix of classic and modern. The flowers are so soft, a beautiful contrast to the black-and-white stripes along the side of the card.AND the card features FIVE products from the Sale-a-Bration brochure. Wow!

The base of this gorgeous card is made of two patterns from the Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper, a pack of 12 sheets (2 each of 6 double-sided, 12″ x 12″ sheets) that can be earned with a $50 order during Sale-a-Bration. The papers are black-and-white on one side and colorful on the other. Here’s a closer look at the patterns and colors in this fun pack of papers:

Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper, Stampin' Up!, 2019 Sale-a-Bration 149622The sentiment is from the Part of my Story stamp set, a sentiment set I shared with you during our November InKing Royalty Blog Hop (you can see that project here). Here’s a look at the sentiments in this wonderful stamp set that can be earned with a $50 order during Sale-a-Bration:

Part of My Story, Stampin' Up!, 2019 Sale-a-Bration 149719The flowers on this card (they are gorgeous, aren’t they?) are from the Tea Together stamp set in the 2019 Occasions Catalog and cropped with the Tea Time Framelits Dies in the 2019 Sale-a-Bration offerings. I’ll share more about these items when I talk about the third card below.

The two panels of Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper are separated by Lemon Lime Twist ribbon from the Organdy Ribbon Combo Pack that can be earned with a $50 order during Sale-a-Bration. Like the Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper, you’ll want to earn multiples of this product. Just look at the gorgeous colors:

Organdy Ribbon Combo Pack, Stampin' Up! 2019 Sale-a-Bration, 149623If you look closely at this card, you can see little wooden flowers and leaves. These are part of the Butterfly Elements, another item available with a $50 purchase during Sale-a-Bration. The pack includes 84 wood pieces – butterflies, leaves and flowers. Here’s a look at the Butterfly Elements:

2 – Big Butterfly Thinking of You

The second card on the cover of the 2019 Sale-a-Bration Brochure features three of the products showcased above. Here’s a rundown of the products used on this card:

  • Both of the cardstock layers are from the Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper. Again, I love the mix of colorful and black-and-white papers in this pack of papers. A must-have pack of papers!
  • Like the base of the card, the large butterfly is cropped from one of the pages of the Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper.
  • The smaller butterfly, layered on top of the colorful one, is found in the Butterfly Elements.
  • The “thinking of you” sentiment is found in the Part of My Story stamp set. It’s cropped from the longer sentiment “know that today a friend is thinking of you.”
  • The card is wrapped with Balmy Blue ribbon from the Organdy Ribbon Combo Pack.
  • There are two strips of washi tape on the top and bottom of the focal panel of Designer Series Paper. The strips are from the Pick a Pattern Washi Tape, a carryover in the 2018 Annual Catalog that was first included in the 2017 Annual Catalog. These black-and-white washi tapes are a great supplement to the black-and-white pages in this pack of paper.

3 – Tea and Giggles

The stacked tea cups and flowers on the third card are from the Tea Together stamp set in Stampin’ Up!’s 2019 Occasions Catalog (the stamped cups and flower are cropped with the Tea Time Framelits Dies in Stampin’ UP!’s 2019 Sale-a-Bration Brochure. The yellow base of the card is lightly stamped with the flower from this stamp set. Here’s a look at the Tea Together stamp set in the Occasions Catalog:

Tea Together, Stampin' Up! 148779While this stamp set can be purchased from the 2019 Occasions Catalog, the coordinating Tea Time Framelits Dies can be selected with a $100 order during Sale-a-Bration. The Tea Together stamp set might not have ever made its way onto my wish list without these amazing dies, but I have both! And here’s a look at the Tea Time Framelits Dies:

Tea Time Framelits Dies, Stampin' Up! 2019 Sale-a-Bration 149697The card showcases one of the sentiment from the Part of My Story stamp set (shown above) and a black-and-white gingham panel from the Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper.

  1. awesome introduction to everything Sale-A-Bration has to share!

  2. Thanks for the breakdown. The tea items are tea-riffic in my thinking. They spark my creativi-tea with the fun items I might come up with. I also really like the rose as it seems to be more prominent than other sets with all the extras. I can’t wait to get the Part of my story sentiments. So much fun. Thanks for showcasing these wonderful products and looking forward to see what you make with them.

  3. Bravo ! I loved your detailed descriptions of each card !! You pointed out each product that might be overlooked otherwise . I received that beautiful ribbon on my Pre Order and it is even prettier than the picture ! Now I plan to look at some other items you pointed out !!
This was fun ! Thank you !!!

    • I’m so glad you like my writeup, Sonny! It’s fun to poke around the projects to figure out what they used. I opened that ribbon last night, too! It’s gorgeous! ā™„

  4. I had company Saturday, but once I saw new SU catalogs were in the mail, I just wanted them to all go home. Iā€™m so ashamed! (Not.) I especially love the BB DSP with the black and white alternate side.
The difficult part is having to wait to order!!

    • Thanks so much, Georgia! I’m always excited to see the new books – and I’m happy you are so excited to look for yourself. January 3 will be here before you know it. ā™„
