All That You Are for GDP170

There’s a new Global Design Project challenge this morning – and this challenge goes for two weeks. Rather than to make another Christmas card (that will feel really out-of-date in early January), I reached for some gorgeous products from Stampin’ Up!’s 2019 Occasions Catalog. Here’s my card:

All That You Are, Amazing Congratulations, Stampin' Up!, Brian KingAnd here’s the banner for the challenge that inspired my card (this challenge will last for two weeks, so you have plenty of time to create with it):

GDP170Tips, Tricks and Reminders

  • All That You Are. Rather than add a thin border along the bottom of the focal shape on my card, I decided to add a little bouquet of flowers from the All That You Are stamp set (new in Stampin’ UP!’s 2019 Occasions Catalog on January 3). Here’s what I love about the stamp set (other than the gorgeous sentiments and big floral bouquet) – several of the flowers in the set coordinate with the Frosted Bouquet Framelits Dies (carrying forward from the 2018 Holiday Catalog). Here’s a look at the All That You Are stamp set: All That You Are, Stampin' Up!, 148664Even though the coordinating Frosted Bouquet Framelits Dies are carrying forward with the gorgeous First Frost stamp set, the bundled pricing (10% off) goes away on January 2. If you want to take advantage of this savings, I hope you will purchase the bundle before it goes away. Here’s a look at the First Frost Bundle:First Frost Bundle, Stampin' Up!, 149943
  • Build a Bouquet. I’ll be the first to admit that building bouquets is not my specialty. To create this spray of leaves and flowers, I looked to a similar arrangement in the Occasions Catalog. On the inside cover of the 2019 Occasions Catalog, I found this beauty:All That You Are Sample, Stampin' Up!Mine isn’t terribly different. I muted the colors a bit but came the same overall arrangement. Here’s a closer look at mine:All That You Are, Amazing Congratulations, Stampin' Up!, Brian King
  • Sweet Colors. There are many sweet colors on my floral card, but three colors really define it – Pool Party Flirty Flamingo and Crumb Cake. I knew I wanted my focal panel to be soft blue so it would feel like the sky behind these gorgeous flowers. I added the Crumb Cake panel to tone down the sweetness of the other colors.
