Here we are – it’s the last day of 2018. While it’s been a rough year on many counts, there have also been many wonderful things about the year. I look forward to seeing what 2019 has to offer and hope (regardless of how good or bad 2018 was) that it’s a much better year for everyone. Here’s my card for the last day of 2018:

  • Needlepoint Nook. If you know your way around a embroidery hoop, then the products in Stampin’ Up!’s Needlepoint Nook Suite are certainly going to be on your wish list from Stampin’ Up!’s 2019 Occasions Catalog. Even if you aren’t a sewer, quilter or cross-stitcher, it’s probably going to be on your list. The sentiment on this card is from Needle & Thread, a stamp set that’s included, along with the Needlepoint Elements Framelits Dies, in the Needle & Thread Bundle. Here’s a look at the bundle:  Needle & Thread Bundle, Stampin' Up! 150626The large circle of flowers and the Old Olive stitched print are from the Needlepoint Nook Designer Series Paper. • Layering the Focal Point. Three elements are combined to make the focal point of this card – a circle of flowers, a cropped sentiment and a tiny heart. I cropped this piece of Needlepoint Nook Designer Series with a large circle from the Layering Circles Framelits Dies. I cropped a piece of Thick Whisper White to support the paper so I could pop it up. The sentiment is stamped with Berry Burst ink on Thick Whisper White and cropped with the Pretty Label Punch. I added a Berry Burst heart from the Stitched Labels Framelits Dies to bridge the patterned paper with the punched shape.Needle & Thread, Neeldepoint Nook Designer Series Paper, Stampin' Up!, Brian King
  • Fresh Colors. As I often do, I pulled the colors for my card straight from the two pieces of Needlepoint Nook Designer Series Paper. I love the balance of the soft blue, bright pink and regal green – they really play well together. If you like this combination of Balmy Blue, Berry Burst and Old Olive as much as I do, please save this: Stampin' Up! Color Inspiration - Balmy Blue, Berry Burst, Old Olive
