Hoppy New Year!

If you are reading this post, then you’ve made it to 2019! Woo hoo! I hope your celebration of the new year was fun and that the year brings you everything you could ever dream of.

One thing that 2019 brings is Stampin’ Up!’s 2019 Sale-a-Bration event. During Sale-a-Bration, you can earn free products when you buy the things you already want. You can also benefit greatly by joining Stampin’ Up!. Yay! To celebrate the new year and the kickoff of Sale-a-Bration, I made this card that features one of the new sets you can earn during Sale-a-Bration::

So Hoppy Together, Warm Hearted, Stampin' Up!, Brian King, New Year cardTips, Tricks and Reminders

  • So Hoppy Together. During Sale-a-Bration, your purchases earn you free product. One of the items you can select is the So Hoppy Together stamp set. Happy frogs and bug-eyed bugs make this set so fun! My card features the sitting frog, the unicycle frog (I masked the image to remove the unicycle) and the fun dragonfly. Here’s a look at the sentiments and images in the So Hoppy Together stamp set:So Hoppy Together, Stampin' Up! 149725I also masked “Hoppy” from the set to replace “cheers to the” in the Warm Hearted sentiment. I cut out my images with my Brother Cut-n-Scan since there are no Framelits for this set. The Granny Apple Green and Shaded Spruce backdrop for my card is pulled from the pages of Tropical Escape 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper in Stampin’ Up!’s 2018 Annual Catalog. Here’s a look at the color and patterns in this awesome pack of papers:Tropical Escape Designer Series Paper, Stampin' Up! 146916
  • Stitched Rectangles. The So Hoppy Together stamp set isn’t the only thing to get excited about…while you were adoring the frogs, did you notice the stitched frame for the sentiment on the card? Here’s a closer look:So Hoppy Together, Warm Hearted, Stampin' Up!, Brian King, New Year cardI’ve been using the Rectangle Stitched Framelits Dies since they first arrived – and you are going to want to get your hands on them, too! Here’s a look at the variety of sizes:Rectangle Stitched Framelits Dies, Stampin' Up!, 148551These dies are sold individually or as part of the Amazing Life Bundle. Such fun!
  • Vibrant Color Combination. I’m so happy with this vibrant collection of colors. I knew my frogs would be Granny Apple Green, and I knew my focal square would be Pool Party (to symbolize the sky). The Shaded Spruce pattern came with the Tropical Escape 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper and worked perfectly. Just what I wanted. If you like this combination of Granny Apple Green, Shaded Spruce and Pool Party, please save this: Stampin' Up! Color Inspiration - Granny Apple Green, Shaded Spruce, Pool Party

    Happy New Year ???Brian!
I love the Tropical Escape DSP! I can hardly wait to order some … pinks and greens!

    • Hey Suzie! So glad you like the card, my friend! This paper is from the Annual Catalog, so it’s been around for a while – the mix of pinks and greens is, in fact, amazing! Happy New Year! ♥

  2. Glad you kept it cute with the frogs! Yes, LOVE those Framelits. Happy new year!

  3. And a hoppy New Year to you too Brian! Such a cute and clever card. I have to smile every time I see these frogs with the memories from On Stage! 🙂

  5. “Hoppy” New Year to you, too, O King of the Puns. (And I’m glad to know those frogs were cut with a Scan and Cut and not by hand. That would be murderous fussy cutting!) Love the combination of sets for the sentiment, too. Maybe THAT’S what you should be crowned KING of; you never fail to find the perfect match.
May the new year bring nothing but happiness to you and yours. Cheers!

    • Thanks so much, Linda! You are right – I DO like to find that perfect combination of sentiment and image. Glad you like it, too! Happy New Year!

  9. What a fun card to start the new year with Brian. It brought a huge smile to my face this morning. Good to be back home however, severe computer problems on this end. Will be shopping for a new computer on Wednesday. Hopefully this one won’t give up before I get my order in from the new catty. Happy 2019 to you and your entire family.

  10. 2 of my favorites, the frogs and stitched Framelits, you can’t go wrong! The ideas are endless. Thanks for a great sample.

  12. Love your card! I didn’t think I would be able to order or use this card without a certain image running through my head, I have now ordered it. I like the way your frogs are darker than others I’ve seen. Happy New Year!
