You Are Amazing!

Four shades of green and pale purple – that’s what Mindy Backes gave us for the FabFriday Challenge that goes live today. What fun! Pear Pizzazz, Lemon Lime Twist, Mint Macaron, Tranquil Tide and Highland Heather. With colors like this, how could I NOT make a Spring card? Here’s my 4-1/4″ x 4-1/4″ card:

  • Amazing Life Bundle. Since the moment I started playing with my new products from Stampin’ Up!’s 2019 Occasions Catalog, I’ve been sharing projects with the Rectangle Stitched Framelits – they are awesome. You know what else is awesome? The Amazing Life photopolymer stamp set that is sold with the rectangles as part of the Amazing Life Bundle. Yay!Amazing Life Bundle, Stampin' Up! 150624If you didn’t order this bundle yesterday (the first day of sales for the Occasions Catalog and Sale-a-Bration event), then put it on your wish list. You will be so happy to have it.
  • You Are Amazing. The sentiment at the center of this flower is from Amazing Life. While it’s showcased in a single line in the set, I stamped “You are” and “amazing” separately, masking the stamp with clear tape. Such an easy way to manipulate the sentiment to give me exactly what I needed for this 1-1/4″ circle.Amazing Life, Stampin' Up!, Brian KingI was working a bunch of green circles when I decided to use the Daisy punch to frame the sentiment with Highland Heather petals. The punch gave me exactly what I wanted to pull in that purple.
  • Building a Background. I built my background with 1/4″ strips of cardstock. All four of the greens were glued to a piece of Whisper White cardstock, alternating colors and staggering layers. After I glued all the pieces down, I cropped it with the largest of the Layering Circles Framelits Dies.Creating a Background Pattern on a Card with Strips of Colored Cardstock
