Words Can’t Express…

The sketch challenge that kicks off today at CAS(E) This Sketch gave me the chance to combine a sentiment from one new bundle with a gorgeous die in another new bundle. Here’s my card for this week’s challenge:

Dear Doily Bundle, Wonderful Floral Framelits Dies, Stampin' Up!, Brian KingAnd here’s the banner for the challenge that inspired my card:

CTS305Tips, Tricks and Reminders

  • Two New Bundles. How gorgeous is this trellis die cut from the Wonderful Floral Framelits Dies, part of the Wonderful Romance Bundle in Stampin’ Up!’s 2019 Occasions Catalog. While I didn’t incorporate other elements from this bundle on this card, there are so many gorgeous elements I’ll be using shortly. Here’s a look at the Wonderful Romance Bundle:Wonderful Romance Bundle, Stampin' Up! 150592The sentiments included on this card and with this gorgeous trellis are from the Dear Doily stamp set. I love how the scripty “Words can’t express…” is resolved with the block-lettered “…just how much you mean to me.” The combination is spectacular. Here’s a closer look at the Dear Doily Bundle:Dear Doily Bundle, Stampin' Up! 150616I created a gorgeous card with this bundle for last weekend’s stamp club – I look forward to sharing that project with you soon.
  • Sentiment Staples. While the Wonderful Floral Framelits Dies make a gorgeous statement on the front of this card, there are two must-have staples that helped to accent the trellis of leaves. I stamped “Words can’t express…” on a piece of Balmy Blue Tranquil Textures Designer Series Paper and punched it with my 2-1/4″ Circle punch. I glued it to another punched piece of cardstock to give it a firm foundation to be popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I stamped “…just how much you meant to me” on Thick Whisper White and cropped it with a simple banner from Bunch of Banners – lots of great banners in that must-have staple. • Color Inspiration. While the colors on this card were inspired by Tranquil Textures Designer Series Paper, only two (Balmy Blue and Soft Sea Foam) are found in the pack of papers – and both of these colors are included in Tranquil Textures Designer Series Paper pieces on this card. The third color (Shaded Spruce) is inspired by the Tranquil Tide color in the pack. Here’s a look at the colors and patterns in the Tranquil Textures Designer Series Paper: Tranquil Textures Designer Series Paper, Stampin' Up!, 146331If you like this combination of Soft Sea Foam, Balmy Blue and Shaded Spruce as much as I do, please save this:Stampin' Up!
