More Color Combinations from How Sweet It Is

I love to collect and use Stampin’ Up!’s Designer Series Papers. What a great way to find inspiration for our projects! The colors and patterns pair perfectly with other products we love. This past week I shared two cards that showcase the patterns and colors in Stampin’ Up!’s How Sweet It Is Designer Series Paper, a bright and vibrant pack of papers in Stampin’ Up!’s 2019 Occasions Catalog that coordinates with the How Sweet It Is Suite. I’m excited to share a bit more about the papers today.

I often pull my colors right from the Designer Series Papers as a starter. That’s a huge benefit of our Designer Series Papers – they are designed with the amazing shades in our color families, so the pair perfectly with our cardstock, inks and accessories. Here’s a look at the patterns and colors in the How Sweet It Is Designer Series Paper:

How fun are these pages?! Like other packs of Designer Series Papers, the How Sweet It Is Designer Series Comes with 12 sheets – two each of six two-sided designs. This pack of papers includes Coastal Cabana, Gorgeous Grape, Granny Apple Green, Melon Mambo, Pineapple Punch and Whisper White. Such a cheery collection of colors!

Here are some cards I’ve made with the pages from How Sweet It Is Designer Series Paper (you can click on the photo to read the original post about each project):

Hello Cupcake, Jar of Sweets Framelits Dies, How Sweet it Is Designer Series Paper, Stampin' Up!, Brian King Calls for a Celebration, Stampin' Up!, Brian King, Valentine's Day card Birthday Cheer, How Sweet It Is Designer Series Paper, Stampin' Up!, Brian King

There are so many ways to showcase these beautiful papers, don’t you think? Today I’m going to share a couple more suggestions for pulling these colors right from the patterns in the Designer Series Paper.

Straight from the Papers

These colors are combined from the colors exclusively in this pack of How Sweet It Is Designer Series Paper:

Stampin' Up! Color Inspiration - Melon Mambo, Pineapple Punch, Granny Apple Green Stampin' Up! Color Inspiration - Coastal Cabana, Gorgeous Grape, Melon Mambo Stampin' Up! Color Inspiration - Pineapple Punch, Granny Apple Green, Whisper White

Combined with Other Colors

By adding one other color to the shades in these colors, you can really transform the feel of the pages – or create all new combinations with inspiration from the paper. Here are some color combinations starters that feature two colors from this pack of papers and one color from outside the pack:

Stampin' Up! Color Inspiration - Melon Mambo, Coastal Cabana, Night of Navy Stampin' Up! Color Inspiration - Pineapple Punch, Calypso Coral, Granny Apple Green Stampin' Up! Color Inspiration - Pineapple Punch, Gorgeous Grape, Highland Heather

By limiting the colors you’ll use in a project (or expanding the colors to those outside a pack of papers), you can really find some beautiful color combinations for our projects.

The How Sweet It Is Designer Series Paper is featured in the How Sweet It Is Suite of products in Stampin’ Up!’s 2019 Occasions Catalog. To see all of the items that are part of the suite, click on the image below:

  1. Yes, the fun part of using Stampin Up products is the color coordination of the ink, paper and ribbon with the DSP pulling it all together. Love your color combinations. Thanks for all of these cheery combos. Enjoy your day, Brian.

  2. Mambo, Coastal and Navy, all day! Fun and inspiring!

  3. Happy Saturday, Brian! Once again, you’ve shared those awesome color combinations. I save them in my photos on my phone so I always have them on hand. One of the original draws to Stampin’ UP! for me was how everything color coordinates (perfectly?). Thank you!
