Be Inspired by Sale-a-Bration

It’s time for another Be Inspired Design Team Blog Hop – what fun! The Be Inspired Design Team is a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from all over the world who are excited to share our themed projects with you. I’m so honored to be a part of this group of talented stampers!

For today’s Be Inspired Hop, we are creating projects that celebrate this year’s Sale-a-Bration products. Sale-a-Bration is such a great way to earn free, exclusive product – and this year’s offerings are amazing! If you aren’t starting the hop here, then you probably just popped over from the amazing project shared by my talented Canadian friend Carolynn Sander.

Painted Seasons & Part of My Story

For today’s Sale-a-Bration-themed hop, I’ve created a sweet card with two Sale-a-Bration products – part of my Story is from the first Sale-a-Bration release,  and Painted Seasons is from the second release. In addition, I’ve showcased two products (the Four Seasons Framelits and Story Label Punch) that are part of the upcoming Sale-a-Bration Coordinating products. That’s a lot of products in one simple design. Here’s my card:

Tips, Tricks and Reminders

  • Four Products. I love to combine Stampin’ Up! products together to create a cohesive look. As I mentioned above, there are a lot of products in this simple card. The flowers and leaves are stamped with the Disinktive red rubber Painted Seasons stamp set, part of the second round of Sale-a-Bration items that were released on February 15. The Painted Seasons stamp set is bundled with the Painted Seasons Designer Series Paper and is available for free with a $100 purchase during Sale-a-Bration. Here’s a look at this bundle: Painted Seasons Bundle, Stampin' Up! 150349On March 1, Stampin’ Up! is releasing (along with some other new products) dies that coordinate with the images in the Painted Seasons stamp set. Must have. Here’s a look at this Sale-a-Bration-coordinated Four Seasons Framelits Dies:Four Seasons Framelits Dies, Stampin' Up! 150074The sentiment on my card is a favorite from the Part of my Story stamp set, part of the first round of Sale-a-Bration and still available with a $50 purchase during Sale-a-Bration. Such a great mix of sentiments in this set:Part of My Story, Stampin' Up!, 2019 Sale-a-Bration 149719The sentiment is framed with the Story Label Punch, another coordinated item that’s available starting March 1. • Arranging Flowers. There’s an art to arranging flowers on a card – and it’s not a gift that has been genetically passed down to me. There are ways around that, though. I knew I wanted this sentiment to pop over the flowers, so I arranged them several ways on my card base before finding the balance that worked best for me. I cropped five flowers and five leaves before settling on the balance of three of each. When I found the arrangement and layering that worked best with the sentiment, I took a rough picture with my phone – the lighting is pretty bad, but just wanted a reference for how to place the flowers and leaves on my card:arranging flowers on a card, Painted Seasons, Stampin' Up!, Brian KingI glued them down according to my phone picture and then completed my card. Look how much detail there is in these flowers with these stamps – just gorgeous:Painted Seasons, Part of My Story, Story Label Punch, Stampin' Up!, Brian King
  • Classy Color Combination. There’s something so soothing and classy about the colors I used on this card – perfect for the sentiment I shared. 6. Just a beautiful card today Brian! I really do love the Painted Seasons set and as lovely as your card looks on the blog today, no photo can do justice to these stamps unless you are looking directly at the stamped image. For someone who claims not to be a good flower arranger you sure did a fantastic job arranging them on this card. Love this card – a lot!

    • Thanks so much, Grace! Even with the picture I took to guide me on placement, I was so nervous I’d glue them down in the wrong order. Phew! This set is ABSOLUTELY amazing. Wish I could just mail it around to everyone who is on the fence about it. ♥
