You Are Loved Completely

We’re kicking off a new color at Fab Friday – and it’s the gorgeous mix of Mossy Meadow, Calypso Coral and Petal Pink! I played with several variations of the three before landing on a simple layout and combination of products I love. Here’s my card:

Strong & Beautiful, Petal Palette, Rose Trellis Thinlits Dies, Stampin' Up!, Brian King

  • Strong & Beautiful. My simple card features a beautiful trio of flowers, some amazing cutouts, great texture and a sentiment I love. How sweet is it to remind someone else how completely loved they are? The sentiment comes from the versatile Strong & Beautiful stamp set from Stampin’ Up!’s 2019 Occasions Catalog. The set is filled with amazing, supportive sentiments of support to the people in your life (mostly directed to women). If you haven’t checked it out, please take a quick look:Strong & Beautiful, Stampin' Up! 148732The sentiment is showcased on a gorgeous cutout frame from the Rose Trellis Thinlits Dies that’s part of the Climbing Roses Bundle in Stampin’ Up!’s 2019 Occasions Catalog. I also used the GORGEOUS trellis on this card – more on that later. Here’s a look at the Climbing Roses Bundle:  Climbing Roses Bundle, Stampin' Up! 150603
  • Pow! A Pop of Color. With the soft wash of Petal Pink against a frame of Mossy Meadow (such a gorgeous combination, right?), the Calypso Coral flowers offers a gorgeous pop of color on this card. Here’s a closer look:Strong & Beautiful, Petal Palette, Rose Trellis Thinlits Dies, Stampin' Up!, Brian KingI stamped these flowers from Petal Palette with Tuxedo Black Memento ink on Thick Very Vanilla cardstock. After it dried, I colored the flowers with Calypso Coral Stampin’ Blends and the leaves with Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Blends. I color each element three times with the blends: (1) a light wash with the light color, (2) a few accents with the dark color and (3) another wash of the light color to make sure the colors blend together.
  • Gorgeous Texture. The gorgeous trellis from Rose Trellis Thinlits Dies (cropped in Petal Pink) gives this card a foundation, allowing the flowers to perch in all their beauty. I added great texture to the background panel (also Petal Pink) by running it through the Subtle Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  Subtle Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Stampin' Up! 143706Not only does the embossing folder add a great linen feel to the card base, but it allows the trellis to stand apart from the background without popping against it. This is a MUST-HAVE folder – I’m WOW’d every time I use it.
