Courage, Strength & Bravery

Bravery: the quality or state of having or showing mental or moral strength to face danger, fear, or difficulty.

While there are amazing acts of bravery around us every day, the term has almost become synonymous with the courage and energy one expends to fight against the physical invasions of cancer. Bravery not only defines those who win, but it honors the tenacity of everyone who fights to win. My card today features a variety of products that celebrate courage and bravery:

More Than Words, Ribbon of Courage, Stampin' Up!, Brian King

Tips, Tricks and Reminders

  • More Than Words. My card features two sentiments from a brand new stamp set that’s part of the brand new “Sale-a-Bration Coordination” release. The More Than Words stamp set was released on March 1 to coordinate with all of your favorite Sale-a-Bration stamp sets – there’s nothing like getting the most out of those sets! This set features a lot of wonderful sentiments that can be used for a variety of occasions. Take a look at all the fun sentiments in More Than Words:More Than Words, Stampin' Up! 150069Because More Than Words is a photopolymer stamp set, I could see where I was stamping to perfectly line up the sentiments. So many great options in this set. If you’d like to see all of the Sale-a-Bration Coordination offerings (including this set, several Framelits dies and a punch), click on the picture below:
  • Petal Promenade – Earn it for Free. On March 1, Stampin’ Up! added some new items into the selections for Sale-a-Bration earnings. One of those items is the Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper from Stampin’ Up!’s 2018 Annual Catalog. Here’s a look at the colors and patterns in the Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper:Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper, Stampin' Up! 146913To select this item as your Sale-a-Bration reward, use the code 152839. The pages in this pack of papers are perfect for wedding and sympathy cards. They are perfect, too, for supportive cards like the one I’m sharing today. • A Little Texture. I really wanted to use the beautiful floral paper for the ribbon on the front of this card, but it was too much (and we can’t have “too much”). Instead, I inked up the solid ribbon from Ribbon of Courage with Blushing Bride ink, stamped it off once and then stamped it on Blushing Bride Cardstock. Then I cropped the ribbon with the Support Ribbon Framelits Dies. That gave me the texture and subtlety I was looking for. I still reached for the paper, though, and cropped a heart from the Be Mine Stitched Framelits Dies. I positioned it on the center of the ribbon for a callback to the background pattern.
