Rooted in Nature for CTS317

With all the Spring flowers and sunshine I’ve been working with over the past week, I was excited to roll my sleeves up to make an earthy card with gorgeous earth-tones. I reached for my Rooted in Nature Bundle and Nature’s Poem Designer Series Paper to make this thank you card for this week’s CAS(E) This Sketch challenge:

Rooted in Nature, Well Written Framelits Dies, Stampin' Up!, Brian King

And here’s the banner for Donna Mikasa’s sketch challenge that inspired my card:

CTS317Tips, Tricks and Reminders

  • Rooted in Nature. I’ve been reaching back to some incredible goodies from Stampin’ Up!’s 2018 Annual Catalog. There are so many great sets and bundles there that will be going away soon. We don’t have a list of what will retire, but we do know that 10%-off pricing on all bundles will go away at the end of the catalog period. My fingers are crossed that Rooted in Nature and the coordinating Nature’s Roots Framelits Dies will carry forward in the 2019 Catalog, but the bundled pricing will soon come to an end. Here’s a look at the amazing Rooted in Nature Bundle:Rooted in Nature Bundle, Stampin' Up!, 148353I used THREE pages from Nature’s Poem Designer Series Paper on this card – one pattern from the top row (the thatched Grapefruit Grove pattern) and two from the bottom row (the Cajun Craze/Grapefruit Grove pattern and the Soft Suede wooden pattern). • Well Written Framelits Dies. The Well Said Bundle is AMAZING! The stamp set and coordinating dies are also on my list of carryover hopefuls, but the bundled pricing on this one goes away at the end of the catalog period, too. Just look at all the words in this bundle:Well Said Bundle, Stampin' Up! 150609I adhered “thanks” to my card with a little help from Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets. • Rich Colors. I used the same three panels of Nature’s Poem Designer Series Paper on a card I shared with you last year – AND I used the same tree. I guess you could say I CASE’d my own card for today’s project. 4. “Earthy,” organic and cool. Love the blocks of neutral colors!

  5. Always a beautiful mating job! Love the texture, too!

  6. What a beauty! I can see you’ve inspired me to roll up my sleeves and use this fabulous set this weekend. Thanks for sharing.

    • Yay! That makes me happy – it’s a great set. I don’t want people to miss out on the bundled pricing. 🙂 Thanks, Kadie! Can’t wait to see what you make with it.

  7. I never ever think to do a white sentiment and it is striking on your card! Love it!

    • Thanks so much, Linda! I shared this card on my team call Tuesday – and they commented on how I always do white borders. I guess I need to try something different at the same time that you need to try this. 🙂

  8. I’m so happy that I have this bundle as well as the Well Written dies. I just love this old maple tree – at least I think it’s a Maple tree. It’s majestic and beautiful in it’s age, like so many people I know. Needless to say Brian, I think this card is magnificent.

    • I think it’s a Maple tree, too, Grace. My neighbor has a Japanese Maple that looks exactly like this (with a smaller trunk). So glad you like it – as always, I appreciate your feedback. ♥

  9. great play on the different dsp. a very serene card. your creativity abounds…
