Preparing for Greece with Candy & Julie

I am surrounded by many incredible people and so many wonderful things in my life – and I am forever grateful for all of it. I know that many things come my way because of my hard work and a steady work ethic (hard work will always bring success), but fortune also plays a role in all the goodness around me. I couldn’t have asked for better people to accompany me through my Stampin’ Up! journey (and life, in general), and I know that fate brought many of these people in my path (or me in theirs).

At the end of this week, I will be headed to Greece for a week-long cruise as part of Stampin’ Up!’s 2019 Incentive Trip. I earned this trip through a combination of events: purchases by customers, accomplishments by team members and other personal achievements. It’s a lot of work, but it’s so special to me that it’s not all me – lots of people have helped me to get there. For that, I’m forever grateful.

I am excited about this trip because I get to see many of my Stampin’ Up! friends from all over the world on this trip (I won’t have seen some of them since the Alaska cruise last year). It’s wonderful to reunite with these friends, but it’s also great to just get away. While the boat is filled with demonstrators from all over the world, it’s still possible to find a quiet space to unwind and relax on these trips.

Celebrating with Candy & Julie

I’m excited, too, that I have two team members who are headed to Greece with me – Candy Ford and Julie DiMatteo. Both have worked really hard to build their businesses so that they can join us on this trip of a lifetime.

You can learn more about these awesome ladies and see some of their work (if you aren’t already familiar) here:

I wanted to help Candy and Julie prepare for Greece, so I whipped up a Saturday morning get-together to celebrate with them. Massages, food and cards – could you ask for more?

Spa Treatment

After all the work Candy and Julie have put into their businesses, they deserve a relaxing spa treatment. Our morning started at my favorite hideaway in Atlanta – one-hour foot massages at Treat Your Feet. We enjoyed a full hour of quiet relaxation while therapists massaged our feet, calves and toes. After the deep massage, they incorporate hot stones, rubber mallets and heat wraps. Your feet feel like clouds when you are done. 🙂

We reclined in comfy, leather chairs for our one-hour massages. Here’s a look at the room we were in:

Want proof? I took pictures after the lights had been dimmed (so these are a little grainy):

Jeremiah also joined us – he has helped me out so much with my Stampin’ Up! business. If you’ve ever received a package from me, he is the kind soul who has dropped the package off at the post office. Here’s our after-massage picture:

Such a relaxing time! I’m so happy to be able to treat these fine folks to a wonderful spa treatment.

A Greek Lunch

I wanted to take Candy and Julie to a wonderful lunch – and decided my favorite Greek eatery would fit the bill! Athens Pizza is a casual joint just down the road and always has amazing Greek favorites.

I hope you like to see pictures of food – because that’s what about to happen. 🙂

I enjoyed the gyro platter with Greek potatoes:

Candy enjoyed the same thing (although she packed up half of hers to take home with her):

Julie had a gyro wrap and a Greek salad:

And Jeremiah enjoyed mousaka and a Greek salad:

We were all stuffed after this amazing meal – but there’s always room for baklava cheesecake. Thank goodness we were onboard to share this thing because it was HUGE:

It was so awesome to spend the morning and part of my afternoon with these incredible people. Even though Julie and Candy live nearby, I look forward to spending time with them in Italy and Greece during the trip next week.

I made a card for both of my team members that fit the Greek theme. I’ll show you the cards and share about them later in the week.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Brian
