Moments with You & Pressed Petals

Whenever I need a simple card (and when I need it fast), I always reach for Designer Series Paper. Designer Series Paper makes our jobs easy, giving us beautiful colors and patterns that can do most of the work for us. I reached for my Pressed Petals Specialty Designer Series Paper to make this quick “thank you/adore you” card:

  • Pressed Petals and Moments with You. I love, love, love this sentiment – “the best moments in my life happen with you.” What a wonderful thing to say and even more wonderful thing to hear. ♥ The sentiment is from the Daisy Lane stamp set – here’s a look:Daisy Lane Bundle, Stampin' Up! 151118The band of Pressed Petals Specialty Designer Series Paper give a wonderful backdrop to this sweet sentiment. Here’s a look at the colors and patterns in the Pressed Petals Specialty Designer Series Paper:Pressed Petals Specialty Designer Series Paper, Stampin' Up! 2019 Annual Catalog, 149500What makes this paper “Specialty”? Several things: (1) it’s a lightweight paper with photographic images of real pressed petals on one side and vintage designs on the other and (2) there are 24 sheets in each pack – that means you get FOUR each of the six, double-sided designs in the pack of paper. Yay!
  • Vellum Cardstock. I love this paper, and I love this sentiment. It’s fitting, then, that I would surround it with something else I love – vellum cardstock. Not only did I create a halo-like border around the sentiment (you can still see the paper peeking in behind it), but I added peek-a-boos of vellum to the cardfront, too – peeking out from the top and bottom of the gorgeous, printed pattern. Here’s a closer look:Daisy Lane, Pressed Petals Specialty Designer Series Paper, Stampin' Up!, Brian KingDid you know that there’s 12″ x 12″ Vellum Colored Cardstock in the 2019 Annual Catalog? It’s amazing and comes in three colors – Old Olive, Petal Pink and So Saffron. I used So Saffron on my card today to pair well with the other elements of the card. • Natural Colors. I adore the neutral tones in this pattern of Pressed Petals Specialty Designer Series Paper – while the paper pulls a soft Daffodil Delight, I added touches of So Saffron. I pulled Crumb Cake and Night of navy from the paper to build the colors on this card. If you like this combination of So Saffron, Crumb Cake and Night of Navy, please save this:Stampin' Up!
