I Wish I Could Make Everything Better

When things are going badly for someone you love, you want to offer hope and let them know that you wish you could take away their pain. Just letting them know that you are there for them will help to soothe their calm seas and uplift them (even if just a little bit). The card I’m sharing today offers a beautiful sentiment and an image of anchors to let that person know you are on their side. Here’s my card:

Sailing Home, Sorry for Everything, Stampin' Up!, Thinking of You cardTips, Tricks and Reminders

  • Not Designer Series Paper. I bet you don’t recognize this Designer Series Paper pattern, do you? You shouldn’t. I stamped a whole bunch of anchors on this 3-1/4″ x 4-1/2″ piece of Thick Whisper White cardstock. Once the ink dried (you have to let Memento dry), I colored around each of the anchors with a mix of Light and Dark Balmy Blue Stampin’ Blends. I didn’t overwork it so that the watercolor effect could shine through. Here’s a look at the Sailing Home Bundle: Sailing Home Bundle, Stampin' Up! 151066I framed the colored panel with another piece of Thick Whisper White.
  • Sorry for Everything. Sorry for Everything has been a staple for quite some time. Whether you are apologizing for missing a birthday or saying “sorry” for sad loss, the words in this set are versatile to many occasions. I didn’t feature the big “Sorry” on today’s card – just the statement “I wish I could make everything better.” Love it. Here’s a look at the Sorry for Everything stamp set:Sorry for Everything, Stampin' Up! 151210Here are three other times I’ve used this set (I love all three of these cards). • Color Combination. As a general rule, I use yellow on cards that share sympathy or offer hope. It’s such an uplifting color. I paired Daffodil Delight with Balmy Blue and Basic Black for a beautiful mix. If you like this combination of colors, please save this for future reference:Stampin' Up! What do you think of this card? I hope you like the mix of the anchor with this sentiment as much as I do. It was fun to color this panel – even if the fact is lost on someone who doesn’t know how much effort I put into it.

Thanks for stopping by today!
