Feeling Sentimental – My Favorite Sentiments for Sympathy & Support

I love great sentiments. When a stamp says exactly what I want it to say, then I can showcase it beautifully with a simple image or a patterned paper. There are so many great images in Stampin’ Up!’s stamp sets that it can be easy to (accidentally) overlook some to the sentiments hidden inside the stamps. That’s why I’m taking a step back to share with you some of the sentiments I love the most.

The collection of sentiments I’m sharing today offer sympathy, love and support in very special ways. Expressions of sympathy can be the hardest to share – but that’s made easy when a stamp says it for you. Here are some of my favorite sentiments that showcase sympathy and support:

Here’s a Card

There’s a wonderful variety of sentiments in Here’s a Card, a new stamp set in Stampin’ Up!’s 2019 Annual Catalog. I love them all. Here’s a look at the stamp set:

Here's a Card, Stampin' Up! 149438I particularly love this sentiment of sympathy – “May your heart find the peace it needs.” That just says it all, doesn’t it? It beautifully pairs with “Words cannot express the deep sorry felt on your behalf.” Here’s a card I made this week with this sentiment (you can click on the picture below if you’d like to read the full post on this card):

Here's a Card, Perennial Essence Designer Series Paper, Stampin' Up!, Brian King, sympathy card“I’m here if you need me” is another great sentiment from this well-rounded set – can you think of a better way to show your support for someone who’s struggling? Here’s a card I made with this sentiment (you can click on the picture below if you’d like to read the full post on this card):

A Wish for Everything

Like Here’s a Card, the A Wish for Everything Bundle is jam-packed with some wonderful sentiments. While the sentiments are geared toward big holidays, there are some all-occasions gems in there, too. Here’s a look at the A Wish for Everything Bundle:

A Wish for Everything Bundle, Stampin' Up! 151111Who doesn’t need a gentle reminder that they are loved? While “Just a little reminder that you are loved” is perfect for Valentine’s Day, it’s also a perfect sentiment to share with someone who needs your support and friendship. While I wouldn’t consider this card a “sympathy card,” it showcases how much I love this sentiment (you can click on the picture below if you’d like to read the full post on this card):

Rustic Retreat

When I found out my friend, Mary Polcin, would have her stamp set featured in the Annual Catalog, I instinctively knew there would be a sweet, kind sentiment. That’s just who she is. I didn’t know, though, just how supportive and sweet the sentiment would be. It’s amazing!

“You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, smarter than you think and loved more than you know.” – A.A. Milne

How brilliant is that for a supportive, loving sentiment?! Here’s a look at Mary Polcin’s Rustic Retreat stamp set:

Rustic Retreat, Stampin' Up! 150285There’s another great sentiment in this set – the pairing of “You always walk by my side” and “I so appreciate you” is a wonderful way to thank someone who helps you through a hard time.

Beautiful Promenade

The Beautiful Promenade stamp set is built around sympathy and support – beautiful flowers and super-sweet sentiments. Here’s a look at the Beautiful Promenade stamp set:

Beautiful Promenade, Stampin' Up! 146842I particularly love the combination of these two sentiments – “You’re stronger than most” and “…but even the strong need a shoulder to lean on. I’m here for you.” The latter is an unexpected offering of support to a strong loved one. This card showcases this sentiment and the beautiful images in this set (you can click on the picture below if you’d like to read the full post on this card):

Kindness & Compassion

While there are some great shows of compassion in the Kindness & Compassion stamp set, this set offers a beautiful “thank you” for the person who suffers to the person who shows their kindness. “Thank you for your kind expression of sympathy” is a beautiful way to show gratitude for sympathy shown. Here’s a look at the Kindness & Compassion stamp set:

Do you love sentiments as much as I do? They are SUCH an important part of any project – and I love when they say exactly what I want them to say. I hope this post has showcased some new favorites for you.
