Thank You with Beautiful Friendship

A lot of my cards this week have featured sentiments of sympathy and compassion. I’m flipped a page today, though, to showcase a bright-and-beautiful card with a big-bold “thank you.” Here’s my card:

  • A Beautiful Blend. My card may have more flowers than the CAS(E) This Sketch layout, but the inspiration is there. The oversized floral print gives a wonderful foundation for this bold “thank you.” This set can build beautiful, watercolored images that can go soft or bold. Here’s a look at the Beautiful Friendship stamp set: Beautiful Friendship, Stampin' Up! 149252This Thank You Die is brilliant – one cut, and you have everything to say what you need to say (as long as you need to say “thank you). 🙂 Here’s a look at the Thank You Die:Thank You Die, Stampin' Up! 146832 This die coordinates with the A Big Thank you stamp set but works wonderfully on its own.
  • Color Combination. I just love the bright beauty of Flirty Flamingo on these watercolored flowers. The others colors on this card are a beautiful accent to the bold flowers:Beautiful Friendship, Thank You Die, Stampin' Up!, Brian KingIf you like this beautiful mix of Granny Apple Green, Highland Heather and Flirty Flamingo, please save this:Stampin' Up! Color Inspiration - Granny Apple Green, Highland Heather, Flirty Flamingo
  • Neutral Ground. I tried all three colors featured on the floral images as bases for my card – Flirty Flamingo and Granny Apple Green were too bold, while Highland Heather fell a little flat. With all of those beautiful colors behind the bold sentiment on a 3-4/5″ x 5″ piece of Whisper White, I needed to make sure that the base of my card didn’t take away from the stamped images. Smoky Slate gave me the perfect color – a little gray, a little silver. It’s just a base for the beautiful colors – just what I needed.

I hope you’ll pop over to the CAS(E) This Sketch site to see the cards by the design team members and to play along with this week’s challenge.

Thanks for stopping by today!
