Congratulations with Magnolia Lane

My sketch is the challenge inspiration this week at CAS(E) This Sketch, and I couldn’t be more excited. I had no ideas in mind when I submitted this sketch, but I knew exactly what I wanted to make when I sat down to create my card for this challenge. I reached for the oh-so-versatile Here’s a Card for a beautiful sentiment that pairs beautifully with the Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper. Here’s my sweet-and-simple card:

Tips, Tricks and Reminders

  • Here’s a Card. I’ve really fallen in love with Here’s a Card stamp set – it’s packed with versatile sentiments that can be used all year long. I would LOVE to just send a copy of this stamp set to all of my customers and followers (you need this stamp set in your life), but I don’t have that kind of money. Still, I wish for you to have it. Here’s a look at the great sentiments in the Here’s a Card stamp set: Here's a Card, Stampin' Up! 149438I’ve used many of the sentiments from this set – and I love every single one (except for the one in the middle that makes me start singing the theme song from “The Golden Girls”). 🙂
  • Simple Stamping. Do you love how I’ve stamped this flower and colored it? If you do, then I’m sorry to burst your bubble – this flower is simply cropped from the Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper with the Magnolia Memory Dies. I cropped the same shape with Basic Black cardstock and glued the Designer Series Paper flower to that cardstock to give it the stability I needed to pop it up with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Here’s a closer look: Here's a Card, Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper, Stampin' Up!, Brian KingThe flower I used is showcased on the first page of the Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper shown below.Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper, Stampin' Up! 2019 Annual Catalog, 149484Such a gorgeous combination of colors and images in this amazing pack of papers. ♥
  • Color Combination. The colors on the background of my card are pulled from the colors in this gorgeous flower that’s the centerpiece of my card. I was hesitant to place the Basic Black border against the Mossy Meadow backdrop, but it worked for me. If you like this combination of Petal Pink, Mossy Meadow and Basic Black, please save this for future reference:Stampin' Up! Color Inspiration - Petal Pink, Mossy Meadow, Basic Black

World Card Making Day/Brian’s Fall Stamp-Along

If you are a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator who is attending OnStage in Atlanta, Georgia, I’d love to invite you to join me for a fun day of fun stamping inspiration, games, swaps and giveaways.

I haven’t yet opened registration for this year’s event (to be held on November 15 at the Atlanta Marriott Gateway), but that doesn’t mean you don’t want to get on the list to find out more when I know more. Stampin’ Up! moved this year’s event to a different location with few options for hosting my event. As such, I am only able to accommodate a smaller crowd that before. I am still working through several ideas for how I can include more people without taking away from the experience for those there.

Placing an order today? Of course you are! If you are placing an order for $150 or more, I want you to enjoy all of the Host Rewards you have earned.  If your order is less than $150, I’d love for you please add this Host Code – XCXRY327 when prompted. Thank you!
