Good Morning Magnolia for CTS337

The Good Morning Magnolia Bundle is one of the most popular new bundles in Stampin’ Up!’s 2019 Annual Catalog. Most of the projects out there with this bundle (including mine) have featured the colors showcased in the suite – Petal Pink, Mossy Meadow and Basic Black. I wanted to give this gorgeous suite a new look, and I had the perfect chance with this week’s CAS(E) This Sketch challenge. Here’s my card:

CTS337Tips, Tricks and Reminders

  • Good Morning Magnolia Meets Mosaic Mood. Rather than pair this gorgeous flower and sentiment from Good Morning Magnolia with the (also gorgeous) Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper, I reached for this Crushed Curry panel of Mosaic Mood Specialty Designer Series Paper to frame my flower and sentiment. The combination is so soothing and sweet. Here’s a look at the Good Morning Magnolia Bundle:  Good Morning Magnolia Bundle, Stampin' Up! 151087And here’s a look at the colors and patterns in the Mosaic Mood Specialty Designer Series Paper that gave my magnolia a new setting: Mosaic Mood Specialty Designer Series Paper, Stampin' Up! 2019 Annual Catalog, 149478
  • Neutral Backdrop. I really love the panel of Mosaic Mood and the cropped flower from Good Morning Magnolia, but I wanted the sentiment to be front-and-center. I inked up the flower with Crumb Cake ink, stamped it off once on scrap paper and then on Crumb Cake. I cropped it with the coordinating Magnolia Memory Dies, lining it up along the edge of the card panel.  Good Morning Magnolia, Stampin' Up!, Brian KingThe placement of the flower along the top, left of the panel gave me just what I needed to beautifully showcase the sentiment. The flower and Designer Series Paper are supporting actors here.
  • Warm Colors. Yellow is always a great color for sympathy or thinking of you cards. It’s uplifting and beautiful. Even though the background paper showcases shades of Crushed Curry, some of those tones are so close to So Saffron that it paired perfectly. World Card Making Day/Brian’s Fall Stamp-Along

If you are a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator who is attending OnStage in Atlanta, Georgia, I’d love to invite you to join me for a fun day of fun stamping inspiration, games, swaps and giveaways.

I haven’t yet opened registration for this year’s event (to be held on November 15 at the Atlanta Marriott Gateway), but that doesn’t mean you don’t want to get on the list to find out more when I know more. Stampin’ Up! moved this year’s event to a different location with few options for hosting my event. As such, I am only able to accommodate a smaller crowd that before. I am still working through several ideas for how I can include more people without taking away from the experience for those there.

Placing an order today? Of course you are! If you are placing an order for $150 or more, I want you to enjoy all of the Host Rewards you have earned.  If your order is less than $150, I’d love for you please add this Host Code – XCXRY327 when prompted. Thank you!
