You Are Incredible with Royal Peacock

If someone is incredible, then they deserve to hear it. What better way to share that news than with a bright, shiny card filled with peacock feathers?! When I made this card, I knew the recipient would appreciate the time and effort I put into cutting all these feathers and applying them to the card base. I had fun with this one! ♥ Here’s my card that features products from Stampin’ Up!’s Noble Peacock Suite:

Tips, Tricks and Reminders

  • Royal Peacock. The sentiment is from the Royal Peacock stamp set (there are some really great sentiments in this set, so you should check them all out), and the cropped peacock feathers are from the coordinating Detailed Peacock Dies. Here’s a closer look at the Royal Peacock Bundle from Stampin’ Up!’s 2019 Annual Catalog: Royal Peacock Bundle, Stampin' Up!, 151100The Royal Peacock Bundle (and the Noble Peacock Specialty Designer Series Paper I used to crop the peacock feathers) are all found in the Noble Peacock Suite of products – you can peruse all of these times in my online store by clicking on the image below: Noble Peacock Suite, 101002, Stampin' Up! 2019 Annual Catalog
  • Color Inspiration. The colors on my celebratory card were pulled right from the foil-accented, jewel-toned pages of the Noble Peacock Specialty Designer series Paper I used to crop the feathers.  Here’s a look at the colors and patterns in the Noble Peacock Specialty Designer Series Paper:Noble Peacock Specialty Designer Series Paper, Stampin' Up! 2019 Annual Catalog, 149493Here’s a closer look at the feathers I cropped from the Noble Peacock Specialty Designer Series Paper with the Detailed Peacock Dies:Royal Peacock Bundle, Stampin' Up!, Brian KingIf you like this combination of Old Olive, Blueberry Bushel and Pretty Peacock as much as I do, please save this for future reference:Stampin' Up! 1. Knock me over with a feather! That’s such a classy card!

  2. Love the background you designed with this die! Great card!

  3. YOU and this card are INCREDIBLE.

  4. Best use of this feather die that I have seen. Love this “background” design. What did you choose for adhesive? Spectacular design.

    • Thanks so much, Linda! I used the adhesive sheets we used to sell (bought them up before they retired), but the Fine Tip Glue Pen or Tombow should work, too. It can get tricky with the little edges if everything is not glued down, so you have to get good coverage. 🙂

  5. Your card is stunning, Brian. I love those the foil papers for the feathers. Enjoy your day!

  6. The color combination you used today is candy for the eyes. This card has to bring a smile to anyone who sees it. Just plain gorgeous.

  7. Don’t know how long you had to play with the composition of this card, but it is perfection!

    • Thank you so much! It moved around on my desk for a while before I landed on this layout. I am pretty happy with how it turned out and am so glad you like it, too! ♥

  8. Wow, what a brilliant and creative card. I love how you displayed the peacock feathers in the first card, it is so lovely.
