Wow! Yesterday was amazing! I’m so glad so many of you popped in to comment on my Blog Candy Giveaway post. Y’all have some really great traditions during the holidays. I don’t give away a lot of blog candy, but when I do, I try to make it big and exciting!
I’m also giving away a stack of handmade cards from this past year. Yay! There’s still time to “put your name in the hat” (I won’t post the winner until tonight). Just pop over to yesterday’s post and leave a comment. If you commented yesterday, you can comment again today.

I enjoyed a delicious lunch with my friend Liz a couple of Sundays ago at my favorite diner in Atlanta (OK Cafe, if you’re curious). Following lunch, we had some time to burn, so we took a spin through Crate & Barrel – this is such a great time of year to look for home decor. It’s also a great place to find color inspiration with beautiful, on-trend colors (and all of them are very familiar to those of us who adore Stampin’ Up! colors).
Mugs are a favorite of mine – especially when they are adorned with gorgeous colors. I love the modern design on this mug but REALLY love the familiar colors:
Without this porcelain mug, I might never have thought to pair Grapefruit Grove with Pretty Peacock, but there are really wonderful together:
And the touch of gray is really soothing with these colors. I like this combination, as well:
There was another mug in the collection that actually made its way home with me (and I started my day today with hot coffee in it). This much includes a pop of Poppy Parade that really brings the other colors to live:
Poppy Parade really livens up the other colors in this pattern – I love how it is so bright but with a retro feel:
Again, the gray really tones down the brightness of the colors and makes for a beautiful color combination we can all be inspired by:
If you would like to see these mugs (and coordinating napkins) on Crate and Barrel’s site, CLICK HERE.
Thanks for stopping by today!

Love the color combos. Thanks for sharing the source of your inspiration! Have a great day~
I was so happy when I saw these mugs – they are great color inspiration and so beautiful.
Thank you Brian for all the inspiration you give us. I find myself casing alot of your cards (I give you credit always). I know the holidays are coming when we go apple picking and I start making apple crisps to freeze for all the holidays coming up and I am making holiday cards in September.
As you know, we are finally getting cooler weather here in Atlanta. This gets me in the mood to decorate for fall. For me the holidays begin at Halloween.
Rockin’ out this modern and cool colors. Love your inspiration.
Thanks, Mary! β₯
I always know the holidays are near when the grocery stores start holiday baking promotions and I see spices and baking items on display. And then I start buying them.
I also know the holidays are near when the Stampin Up holiday catalog comes out and Brian starts posting holiday cards. I agree that the holiday period begins with Halloween for me and ends with our New Year’s Eve party.
I know the Holidays are here when I see βPumpkin Spice and everything nice,β throughout the stores.
PS: Great eye for unique color combos!
I know the holidays are here when Thanksgiving arrives and Christmas music begins.
I love, love, love OK Cafe!! I could eat there every day, so itβs probably a good thing I donβt live super close.
Hopefully it will be cooler in Atlanta this year for the holidays
It’s such comfort food – definitely a “save it for something special” kind of place. π
I know the holidays are almost here when they start playing Christmas music (love Christmas music).
Great color combos! They closed our Crate & Barrel here-so sad! I know the holidays are here when I decorate with my wonderful pumpkin collection/fall decor!
It’s such a fun place! I don’t do a lot of “home decor” shopping, but I do love shopping for stuff for the cupboard. Thanks, Windy!
Enabler alert……I love the coffee mugs. and somehow these just made it into my shopping cart. Thanks for the link.. And on clearance too. . I need to add a few more things to my cart now.
Oh, yay! I don’t get a commission on them, but I’m still happy to have inspired you to pop over. β₯
Hearing Christmas music in stores and on the radio in the car puts me in the holiday mood. Love these color combos. Thanks for the chance to win. Enjoy your Sunday!
I know when the holidays are here when the grandkids start talking about Halloween costumes, turkey dinners and spending hours drooling over the Christmas catalogs in the mail! Thanks for sharing!
Itβs incredible the holidays are already on us! Love those mugs (a weakness of mine too!) and this Christmas, these mugs are on MY wish list which Iβll be passing on to my grand babies! -I mean, after all, if they can give me theirs, I think I should feel free to give them my list too! ?
Ha! I’m so glad you like these mugs, too – I think they’re gorgeous. These colors are a great pop of color in the morning – so uplifting.
Iβm laughing, of course! ?
I love how you find inspiration everywhere! It makes me more aware of how everyday things can trickle into the craftroom!
Thanks, Yvonne! No doubt! I see things everyday that make their way into my crafts.
Your inspiration was SPOT-ON my friend. Bring on the Pumpkin Spice everything!!!
π Thanks, Kadie! Mmmm…pumpkin spice.
When Hallmark rolls out their new shows I know the holidays are around the corner!
Fill my cup with tea, please. You know you are a dedicated stamper when you see colors in SU hues! π My friend laughs when I name a color.
Happy to pour you some tea, Heidi. π For years, the most popular Stampin’ Up! colors show up everywhere. It’s such fun!
Posting of cards with more fall colors and not so many pastel butterflies and flowers. Monarch butterflies bring on the intense color mingling among the richly Hurd flowers. Plus, happy holiday cards being shown or snowflakes. Love and miss Crate and Barrel. Always a favorite stop for color combos.
I know the holidays are coming when my grandson wants to go to Mickeys Not So Scary Halloween party! He loves it and he is only 3!!
I know when the holidays are here in Minnesota when it starts to snow. Snowed yesterday, guess the holidays are here!
Here in the Northwest, we know the holidays are just around the corner when the rains begin. Itβs still sunny and dry so I guess we have a bit more time to enjoy Fall.
Never been in crate & barrel, I’ll have to check that out online. that would make a great gift with a card to match!
It’s a gorgeous store inside – everything is so clean and beautifully displayed. I couldn’t help but to grab up these mugs to take pictures. π I purchased the one with the Poppy Parade flower on it.
I knew I would see that mug again! β€οΈ
π It’s a beauty, huh? So happy I got to spend the day with you, Liz!
It was a great day?
Ooh, can’t wait to ‘case’ those lovely color combinations!
Thanks so much! They are fun, huh?
Nice color combinations. The holidays are coming when stores start putting out decorations (which is wayyyy tooo early).
Those are beautiful color combos. I know what you mean about color combos being found everywhere. If I see something that appeals to me I try to replicate with my ink colors.
Thanks so much, Lucy! It’s fun to find Stampin’ Up! colors out there. Always a great way to find inspiration for colors and patterns. β₯
