Happy Halloween with No Tricks, Just Treats

I don’t always send Halloween cards, but a fun card is always nice to receive. This year, I made a bunch of sweet-and-simple cards to send to some of my top customers from the past several months. There’s a little bit of layering and some great Halloween colors on this card. Here’s the card I mailed out:

Festive Everything, Stitched Nested Labels Dies, Stampin' Up!, Brian King, Halloween CardAnd here’s a look at the inside of the card:

Tips, Tricks and Reminders

  • Halloween Sentiments. I love the Everything Festive stamp set in Stampin’ Up!’s 2019 Holiday Catalog because it’s so versatile for so many holidays – Christmas, Halloween, Valentine’s Day, New Year’s and winter. Buy it now and use it for the next twelve months. ♥ Here’s a look at the Everything Festive stamp set: Everything Festive, Stampin' Up! 150566The sentiment on the inside of the card is from the Spooktacular Bash stamp set (part of the Spooktacular Bundle). • Cropping the Sentiment. The Everything Festive stamp set coordinates with lots of shapes (I showcased the “Winter Wonderland” sentiment in a circle for this project). All of the sentiments pair beautifully with the Stitched Nested Labels Dies that are part of the Free as a Bird Bundle:Free as a Bird Bundle, Stampin' Up! 151123After I cut all the layers for my cards, I decided to cut the Stitched Nested Labels Die from the base layer of Grapefruit Grove cardstock since I knew I’d be covering that hole with a panel of Basic Black. What a great way to save cardstock. Happy to help! ♥ Save Cardstock by Cropping from Covered Layers, Stampin' Up!, Brian King
  • Color Combination. I usually reach for Pumpkin Pie for my Halloween projects (and reached for Mango Melody last week for a bright, cheery project). I decided to play with a softer, sweeter Grapefruit Grove for this project. What fun! If you like this combination of Grapefruit Grove, Crumb Cake and Basic Black, please save this: Stampin' Up! When I make a lot of the same card, I like to take an “infinity shot” to share with you – here’s an infinity shot of my Halloween card: Festive Everything, Stitched Nested Labels Dies, Stampin' Up!, Brian King, Halloween Card
