Grateful for the InKing Royalty Blog Hop

Many of my Stampin’ Up! team members (not only those with blogs) share their gorgeous projects in our team’s Facebook community – there’s such amazing and inspiring creativity in this group! I’m always excited when my team’s blog hop rolls around, though, because I get to share some of their amazing work with you. I’m just as excited to see their projects as you are, and I am proud to share them with you.

InKing Royalty Blog Hop - GratefulWelcome to InKing Royalty’s November Blog Hop! This year’s Blog Hop themes are inspired by a single word – and this month our projects are centered around GRATEFUL. Thanksgiving is tomorrow, and we are grateful you’ve stopped by. We are excited to share our Thanksgiving-themed or grateful-centered projects with you! After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.

Thankful Banner

It’s not often I make home decor with my Stampin’ Up! products, but I’ve been working on a “thankful” centerpiece for about a month, and I’m happy to share it with you today. This project will make a perfect centerpiece on the Thanksgiving table. Here’s my project:

Tips, Tricks and Reminders

  • Thankful. The letters I used to spell “thankful” are cropped from the Hand-Lettered Dies that coordinate with the Praiseworthy Prose stamp set. These letters are modern and fun with an artistic flair – and there are 43 dies in the set! Love it! Here’s a look at the Praiseworthy Prose Bundle:Praiseworthy Prose Bundle, Stampin' Up! 151077I glued each letter to one of the wooden tags in the Tags & Feathers Elements, a set of wooden elements in Stampin’ Up!’s 2019 Holiday Catalog. They fit perfectly on the 2-1/8″ wood rounds. I glued the letters with Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue. • Gather Together.  I created a bed for the letters by stamping the large leaf in the Gather Together stamp set and cropping it with the coordinating Gathered Leaves Dies. This leaf has been a favorite of mine leading up to Thanksgiving. Here’s a look at this wonderful bundle:Gather Together Bundle, Stampin' Up! 153036I stamped each leaf with classic ink and then painted over each one with a Wink of Stella Glitter Brush. It pulled the color in and gave each leaf a shine.Painting with a Wink of Stella Brush, Stampin' Up!, Brian King
  • Color Combination. I used three colors to build the bed of leaves behind my die-cut banner – Terracotta Tile, Pretty Peacock and Soft Suede.
