Be Inspired by Sale-a-Bration

It’s time for another Be Inspired Design Team Blog Hop – what fun! The Be Inspired Design Team is a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from all over the world who are excited to share our themed projects with you. I’m so honored to be a part of this group of talented stampers!

For today’s Be Inspired Blog Hop, we are sharing projects inspired by SALE-A-BRATION. Stampin’ Up! is in the middle of a months-long sales promotion.  Sale-a-Bration is such a fun time – and always gives us a great reason to place one more order so we can earn new product.  My project features two products from Stampin’ Up!’s initial launch of Sale-a-Bration. If you aren’t starting the hop here, then you probably just popped over from the amazing project shared by my talented friend Manuela Geiswinkler.

Here’s my celebration of Sale-a-Bration for this Be Inspired Blog Hop:

Lined Alphabet, Happy Birthday to You, Kerchief Card Kit, Stampin Up!, Brian King

Tips, Tricks and Reminders

  • Happy Birthday to You with a Kerchief Kit. My card features two Sale-a-Bration offerings from the first round of Sale-a-Bration offerings – the flower is from the Happy Birthday to You stamp set, and the card base is from the Kerchief Card Kit. Here’s a look at the super-fun Happy Birthday to You stamp set that can be selected for FREE with a $50 order through March 31 (or while supplies last): Happy Birthday to You, Stampin Up! Sale-a-Bration 152308The flower was cropped with the Birthday Dies, part of the February-released Coordination Products. These dies make this stamp set even more versatile and fun. Product Coordination 153590I made the project for this hop over the weekend when several of my customers selected the Kerchief Card Kit in their orders. I haven’t worked with this kit yet, so I thought it would be fun to share it in today’s hop. Yay! But…alas, the kit is now completely depleted in the United States, so it cannot be added to an order. Here’s a look at what you could have selected for free with a $50 order.  Kerchief Card Kit, Stampin Up!, 152319Don’t wait until March to place your next order! Two items from Stampin’ Up!’s initial release of Sale-a-Bration have already sold out – the Metallic Baker’s Twine/Sequins Combo and the Kerchief Card Kit. I don’t want your favorite to be next.
  • Lined Alphabet. I spelled out 4/5 of the letters in “howdy” with the Lined Alphabet stamps. I love the size and bold font of this alphabet set. Here’s a look:Lined Alphabet, Stampin Up!, 145908Much of the letters can be cropped out with the coordinating Layering Alphabet Dies. I cropped a portion of each letter and then snipped around the rest of the letters. • Layers and A Bold Color Combination. I was surprised by the mix of Petal Pink and Poppy Parade in this kit, but they work together so well! The bright Poppy Parade contrasts so well with the soft Petal Pink. If you like this mix of Petal Pink, Poppy Parade and Basic Black, please save this graphic for future references: Stampin Up! 1. Clever and stunning. Howdy has never looked more beautiful!

  2. Beyond adorable! Love the cheeriness!

  3. So clever and adorable with that little flower! ?

  4. PERFECTLY done my friend. LOVED this SAB freebie.

  5. Love the beautifully colored flower for the “o”. How clever! It would bring a smile to any recipient! Enjoy your day!

  6. What a perfect sentiment to team up with the “cowboy” kerchief!

  7. I absolutely love how you added the flower as the “o” in Howdy.

  8. You should change your name to Mr. Clever. Besides the bright and cheery colors and the great HOWDY, using the flower as the O is definitely something only a born artist would think of. I just love this card and I’m sure anyone receiving it couldn’t help but smile. Thanks for sharing Brian.

    • You are so good to me, Grace! Thank you for your kind comments. I tried to fit the “o” on a smaller panel but realized the sentiment would be too long. I tried the flower because I thought it looked like the flowers in the kerchief pattern. Then…I expanded the panel to let the words breathe but kept the flower. 🙂 Glad you like it.

  9. I love your card Brian ;O)
Great color combo .. and the flower as an O is a great idea!

  10. Such a clever and unexpected alternate design for that kit Brian. I love it

  11. Absolutely love your card Brian, it’s clever and so pretty x

  12. Really lovely… such a clever use of the flower and love that it coordinates with the flower in the kit – a perfect combo!
