Happy Birthday with The Right Triangle Bundle

Who doesn’t love a bright, bold birthday card?! When you find the right shapes and colors, you can make a celebratory card that’s perfect for any man, woman, boy, girl or pet – and I think today’s card fit that bill! I used six triangles from the Stitched Triangles Dies to build a fun band across this simple, layered card for a festive, fun birthday celebration. Here’s my card:

  • The Right Triangle. I cropped six triangles from the Stitched Triangles Dies to build the colorful band across the front of my card. If you were counting the shapes and ready to pounce at my miscount because you see seven triangles, please note that the portions of Poppy Parade triangles at the ends of the band are from the same triangle. Smart, huh? I am also aware that none of the triangles on my card are right triangles (these are all equalateral triangles), they sure were right for my card. ♥ Here’s a look at The Right Triangle Bundle, which includes The Right Triangle stamp set and coordinating Stitched Triangles Dies: The Right Triangle Bundle, Stampin Up! 154079These dies are a must-have (especially when you see the coordinating product in the 2020 August – December Mini Catalog). Unsure I would use the stamps, I thought I would just get the dies, but I caved a got the bundle – it just made sense to earn an extra 10% off both when I bought them together. I do love a bundled savings!
  • Easy Stamping. After I had layered my triangles into a band on my card, I decided the band needed a little more interest. What could I do?! Thank goodness I picked up the coordinating stamp set with the bundle because I could use the little stamp to pepper the triangles with little dots. Here’s a closer look: Zoo Globe, The Right Triangle Bundle, Stampin Up!, Brian King, birthday cardI knew I wouldn’t be good at stamping “inside the lines” if I pulled out my Poppy Parade, Daffodil Delight and Balmy Blue stamp pads, so I stamped the dots with VersaMark, leaving a light, watermarked image in each of the triangles.
  • Birthday Cheer. I love to mix colors from different color families. One yellow, one blue and one red were a perfect combination for a festive birthday card – and the brightness of Daffodil Delight and Poppy Parade worked beautifully with the softness of Balmy Blue. If you like this mix of Daffodil Delight, Balmy Blue and Poppy Parade as much as I do, please save this for future reference:Stampin' Up!
