Magic In This Night – a Halloween Beauty

It’s July 18 – and that means it’s time to pull out our Halloween-themed products for a little Halloween in July. Woot! Woot! OK, so Halloween isn’t quite as popular as Christmas in July, but it should totally be a thing! I’ve never really been “into” Halloween (I don’t like to be scared, and I’ve always saved my money to buy my own candy), but I’m really “into” making Halloween projects. Good news! Stampin’ Up!’s August- December 2020 Mini Catalog has some really wonderful Halloween products – among those, the Magic in This Night Suite is a must-have! Here’s my first Halloween card of the season:

Hallows Night Magic Bundle, Stampin Up!, Brian King

Tips, Tricks and Reminders

  • Hallows Night Magic Bundle. I’m head-over-heals in love with the Hallows Night Magic Bundle – I love the mix of spooky and elegant. Such a fun way to make a classy project (or a classy way to make a fun project). You think you are looking at gorgeous flowers on the edges of a beautiful frame, but…a closer look tells you it’s spider webs! Here’s a look at the Hallows Night Magic Bundle, which includes the Hallows Night Magic Cling Mount Stamp Set and coordinating Halloween Magic Dies: Hallows Night Magic Bundle, Stampin Up! 155188There are so many things to love about this bundle – not only are the frames in this set of dies amazing (more on that later), but these lacy bats are incredible! • Magic in This Night. You know how much I love Designer Series Paper, right?! There are so many great papers in Stampin’ Up!’s August-December 2020 Mini Catalog (demonstrators are able to pre-order from the catalog that goes live August 4), but I couldn’t wait to cut into this pack of gorgeous papers. I love the mix of spooky and elegant images in this pack of papers. Here’s a look at the colors and patterns in the Magic in This Night Designer Series Paper:Magic in this Night Designer Series Paper, Stampin Up! 153517I used two pages from this pack of papers on my card – the large panel of lacy spider webs are easy to spot on this card, but I want to make sure you see this two-toned harlequin pattern that’s cropped with the large tag die. I love it! Hallows Night Magic Bundle, Stampin Up!, Brian King
  • Spooky Color Combination. While both pages of Designer Series Paper I chose for my card feature Basic Black and Whisper White, I pulled touches of Cajun Craze into my card with inspiration from the Magic in This Night Designer Series Paper. I added a card base of Basic Gray so that the focal panel of my card would stand out. Together, they are quite a beautiful color combination, don’t you think? If you like this mix of Basic Gray, Cajun Craze and Basic Black as much as I do, I hope you’ll save this for future reference and/or inspiration: Stampin' Up! What do you think? Do you love these new Halloween goodies as much as I do?

    • Noelle,
I’m so happy to hear it – you are going to LOVE the elegance of this spooky suite. There are also some great Halloween cuties in the catalog, but this suite is tops in my mind. The way things are going right now, August is just a day away. β™₯
