Despite the very warm weather, I love playing with Fall colors and images. Yesterday, I shared a box of note cards I designed for my stamp club using Celebrate Sunflowers and Arrange a Wreath (if you missed that project, you can see it here). Today I’m sharing a card I designed for the club using the Arrange a Wreath Bundle, a sentiment from Ornate Thanks and a fun fold I learned from a favorite customer of mine. Here’s the card:

  • Arrange a Wreath Bundle. The wreath on this card is gorgeous, isn’t it?! The Arrange a Wreath Bundle debuted in the Annual Catalog, so you can buy it now! AND…if you buy this bundle this week, you’ll earn a $5 coupon to be used in August (Bonus Days run through August 3). How fun is that?! Here’s a closer look at the elements in this season-to-season wreath that’s certainly a must-have:Arrange a Wreath Bundle, Stampin Up! 154109Thanksgiving, Christmas, Valentine’s Day and Easter are all represented in this stamp set and coordinating dies, which makes this bundle useful throughout the year. Here are some more samples to showcase its versatility: Arrange a Wreath Samples from Stampin Up! Arrange a Wreath Samples from Stampin Up! The gorgeous sentiment on this card (on the bottom panel of the card) is pulled from the Ornate Thanks photopolymer stamp set, part of the Ornate Thanks Bundle. In Cajun Craze, this sentiment is perfect for Fall. In any other color, it’s perfect throughout the year. Here’s a look at the Ornate Thanks Bundle:Ornate Thanks Bundle, Stampin Up! 154115
  • Card Measurements. I’ve seen lots of fun folds, but I mostly stick to the traditional card base. When I received an adorable thank you card from a wonderful customer last month, I knew I wanted to replicate the fold. This is also one of the only times you’ll see me making cards with a Whisper White base (not even Thick Whisper White) – once the layers are added, the Whisper White cardstock holds up beautifully. Here are the steps to build the base of this fun card:
    • Cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock in half to create two 4-1/4″ x 11″ pieces.
    • Score along the long side at 3-1/2″ and 9″.
    • Fold the two pieces in so they meet on the front of the card.
    • Glue the smallest panel down.
    • Build layers on the two front panels and inside panels according to your preference.
  • Color Combination. I used three Fall-themed colors on this card – and all of them are cropped from the Wreath Builder Dies and showcased on the focal panel of the card – Bumblebee flowers on a Mossy Meadow wreath with a Cajun Craze double bow. Does it get more gorgeous than that?! Here’s a closer look:Arrange a Wreath Bundle, Stampin Up!, Brian KingIf you like this warm mix of Bumblebee, Cajun Craze and Mossy Meadow as much as I do, I hope you’ll save this for future reference: Stampin' Up! 1. Adorable card and fold..love the placement of the sentiment!

  2. One of my favorite bundles and you filled it with sunshine and creativity!

  3. I never formalized the thought that your card bases ARE almost always colored card stock, but it IS one of the things that identifies a Brian King creation. (And layers…!) Great use of the fun fold for this fabulous die set and the Ornate Thanks stamp, too. Your excellent photography really shows the detail on the flower petals which I hadn’t noticed before, and I love the double bow. Masterfully done!

    • Thank you so much, Linda! Even when I try to minimize layers (like the card I’m sharing tomorrow), I just can’t help myself. So glad you like the photos – happy to share a bit more about what makes this bundle special. ♥

  4. LOVE how you separated the sentiment and created this fun fold card. Nicely done my friend.

  5. Gorgeous card today Brian (as always). I don’t think you could have picked a more perfect DSP to use with this card. I love fall colors so I really fell in love with this one. So nice to see fall colors again.

    • Thanks, Grace! I love Fall colors, too – my favorite! I tried several wood backgrounds, but the wreath really popped against the lightest panel of wood. So glad you like it! ♥

  6. I love these beautiful fall colors in your pretty card, Brian. Great job! Enjoy your day!

  7. Such a beautiful fall wreath…..and I love the fancy fold!

  8. Gorgeous cards? I must have missed something. What did you use for the centers of the sunflowers?

    • Thanks for your message, Linda! I’m so glad you like the card. There’s no die to cut the center of this flower, so I stamped it and hand-snipped it, allowing for a rugged, less-than-perfect circle around the dots. Hope that helps. ♥
