Be Inspired by Sunshine and Happiness

It’s time for another Be Inspired Design Team Blog Hop – what fun! The Be Inspired Design Team is a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from all over the world who are excited to share our themed projects with you. I’m so honored to be a part of this group of talented stampers!

For today’s Be Inspired Blog Hop, we are sharing projects that showcase sunshine and happiness – and that’s something we all need right now. Whether we are sharing love during these difficult times or just sending a little hello, it’s important to remember our loved ones who are isolated and alone. If you aren’t starting the hop here, then you probably just popped over from the amazing project shared by my talented friend Carolynn Sander.

All Things Happy

As I ran my finger across the spines of all my new products from Stampin’ Up!’s 2020 Annual Catalog, looking for the right sentiments and images to showcase happiness and sunshine, my index finger stopped at the So Much Happy stamp set – while the stamp set features sentiments for happy events (like birthdays and graduation), I knew could use the coordinating dies to offer a wish of happiness. Here’s the card I made for this oh-so-happy blog hop:

Happy Dies, Hippo Happiness Dies, Stampin Up!, Brian KingHow’s that for a bright-and-happy card?! The Happy Dies, part of the So Much Happy Bundle, crop the word “HAPPY” right out of the center of a panel of cardstock. After I cropped “HAPPY” right out of this base of Daffodil Delight, I cropped a Seaside Spray cloud with the dies to add above the bold word and a simple strip of cardstock below. I mounted that completed panel on a piece of Night of Navy to frame the panel and make the word “HAPPY” stand out. Such a fun card to make! Here’s a look at the So Much Happy Bundle:

So Much Happy Bundle, Stampin Up! 154076The lead-in to “HAPPY” is a sweet sentiment from the All Things Fabulous stamp set, also new in Stampin’ Up!’s 2020 Annual Catalog. I placed tape over the word “fabulous” in the “Wishing you all things fabulous” sentiment and inked it up. I removed the tape and then stamped the unmasked words on the Seaside Spray cloud. I was so find this sentiment – just what I wanted to say! Here’s a look at the All Things Fabulous stamp set:

All Things Fabulous, Stampin Up!, 152602If I’m going to share TWO new things from the new catalog, I suppose I should add a third…as I tried to find flowers or other shapes to add one more element to this card (just wanted one more super-happy element), came across this sweet butterfly from the Hippo Happiness Bundle. Here’s a closer look:

Happy Dies, Hippo Happiness Dies, Stampin Up!, Brian KingI stamped the butterfly outline with Night of Navy ink and then stamped his wings with Flirty Flamingo ink. Isn’t he adorable?! While I initially purchased the Hippo Happiness Bundle for the incredible dies (you really should check them out), I have fallen in love with the sweet characters showcased in it. ♥ Here’s a look at the Hippo Happiness Bundle:

Hippo Happiness Bundle, Stampin Up! 154080Not only does my simple card showcase the word “HAPPY,” but it’s level of happiness is accented by the bright and beautiful colors. Night of Navy provides of beautiful base for these colors to shine. If you like this mix of Daffodil Delight, Flirty Flamingo and Seaside Spray as much as I do, I hope you will save this graphic for future reference:

Brian, this is the second time that my comments don’t appear on your blog posts.
I’ve been commenting on all your posts since the Card Swap but with no luck.
I don’t know why this happens?
I love all your cards, I hope this comment sticks.
    Maria.

    Well, what do you know?
This time it works, what I did different is that I didn’t check the little box that says “Save my name, email, and site URL in my browser for next time I post a comment”.
    Maybe that’s the problem.
Anyway, I’m glad this time it worked.
    Hugs.
