My Heart is Grateful for You

I’m so excited to play with Fall colors, and I couldn’t wait one more minute to break out the new Stitched Leaves Dies (part of the Love of Leaves Bundle in Stampin’ Up!’s August – December 2020 Mini Catalog). While some people might say, “I already have leaf dies,” you don’t have THESE leaf dies. 🙂 Here’s my card for the FabFriday sketch challenge that goes live today:

FabFri195I was so excited to make my card that I missed the fact that the sketch nestles the top panel along the top, left corner of the below panel. Mine is still “inspired by” this sketch (even if I missed it a bit).

Tips, Tricks and Reminders

  • Two Bundles for Fall. Stampin’ Up!’s August – December 2020 Mini Catalog is filled to the brim with great, new Christmas products (not sure how anyone will be able to decide on a single Christmas card design this year). I’m also super-excited about the Thanksgiving and Halloween options, too! My card features a trio of leaves with the Stitched Leaves Dies, part of the Love of Leaves Bundles. Here’s a closer look at this wonderful bundle:Love of Leaves Bundle, Stampin Up! 155195The GORGEOUS sentiment on the front of my card is stamped with the Beautiful Autumn stamp set, part of the Beautiful Autumn Bundle along with the Autumn Punch Pack (I didn’t use the punches on this card, but I have finished a project I will share with you). • Stitched Leaves & a Textured Backdrop. I cropped three leaves with the GORGEOUS Stitched Leaves Dies. I combined tow dies with each (one crops the outline of the leaf, and the other adds the stitched veins). Such beautiful leaves! I added a stitched heart from the Stitched Be Mine Dies to tie in to the sentiment on the front of the card. Here’s a closer look:Beautiful Autumn, Stitched Leaves Dies, Stampin Up!, Brian KingBefore gluing down the arrangement of leaves and heart, I added some texture to the Very Vanilla panel. I inked up the “oil spots” from Geared Up Garage with Crumb Cake ink, stamped it off twice on scrap paper and then stamped on this panel. • Trio of Fall Colors. The beautiful stripes that build the backdrop for my focal panel are pulled from the new Gilded Autumn Specialty Designer Series Paper. As a huge fan of Fall, I love these colors and patterns – such a great pack of papers! Here’s a look at the colors and patterns in the Gilded Autumn Specialty Designer Series Paper: Gilded Autumn Specialty Designer Series Paper, Stampin Up! 153520I pulled all three of the colors for my trio of leaves from the colors in this paper. If you like this mix of Mint Macaron, Crumb Cake and Cajun Craze as much as I do, I hope you will save this for future reference:Stampin' Up!
