MY FAVORITE THINGS

I always love the launch of a new catalog – what’s not to love about new designs of new craft supplies?! Stampin’ Up!’s August – December 2020 Mini Catalog is filled to the brim with all the amazing products you need for your Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas projects this year! There are so many great, new products showcased in this new book – and the variety of products is out-of-this-world! Stampin’ Up!’ Demonstrators have enjoyed the opportunity to play with these new items for a month, and we’ve enjoyed sharing our new projects with you. Now we get to share these new products with you, too – what fun! Hopefully this list of my favorite things will help you to shuffle your list or whittle it down a little bit – or it might inspire you to add some items you overlooked. 🙂 Either way, I’m happy to share my favorites from Stampin’ Up!’s August – December 2020 Mini Catalog with you.

In today’s post, I’ll be sharing the following:

  • My Favorite Suite
  • My Favorite Bundles
  • My Favorite Embellishments

I’ll be back tomorrow for the big reveal of some other fun categories!

My Favorite Suite

I love that Stampin’ Up! catalogs are divided into suites that give us everything we need to easily design and create projects. The stamps, dies/punches, papers, ribbons and embellishments all coordinate perfectly – and there’s nothing better than that!

My favorite suite in Stampin’ Up!’s August – December 2020 Mini Catalog is the Heartwarming Hugs Suite. To see all of the items in this beautifully-coordinated suite, click on the picture below:

Not only are the little coffee cups and sweet sentiments in this set absolutely adorable, but the Heartwarming Hugs Designer Series Paper has stolen my heart. Here’s a look at the colors and patterns in the Heartwarming Hugs Designer Series Paper:

My Favorite Bundles

Bundles are at the heart of all the things we love. We need the paper to go with the bundled stamp set/dies or stamp set/punch. We also love the 10% discount we receive for buying both of them at the same time. Yay!

Here are my favorite bundles from Stampin’ Up!’s August – December 2020 Mini Catalog:

Peace & Joy Bundle – #155167

I love bold sentiments, and I love the way the festive words layer together in the Peace & Joy Bundle. What an incredible stamp set and coordinating dies! LOVE! Here’s a look at this bundle:

Autumn is my favorite season, so it’s natural for me to be drawn to the Beautiful Autumn Bundle, but this bundle is perfect for folks who Summer, Winter or Spring, too! At first glance, I thought these would be teeny-tiny punches (like the old punch packs), but these are a good size (comparable to the Small Bloom Punch from Sale-a-Bration). Here’s a look at the Beautiful Autumn Bundle:

I used the sentiment from the Beautiful Autumn stamp set on this Fall-themed card (you can click on the picture below to see the original post for this project): Beautiful Autumn, Stitched Leaves Dies, Stampin Up!, Brian KingHere’s a look at the amazing bundle that was used to crop the leaves on the above project: Love of Leaves Bundle, Stampin Up! 155195Gift Wrapped Bundle – #155155

I have always been a big fan of a stamp set/punch bundle, and the Gift Wrapped Bundle delivers. Not only does the set have some great bows and wonderful sentiments, but the punch gives us a small tag that we can attach to the bow (or use on its own). Here’s a look at the Gift Wrapped Bundle:

My Favorite Embellishments

There’s nothing better than a simple enamel dot or a couple of gems to complete a project! There are so many great embellishments in the August – December 2020 Mini Catalog, but I have two clear favorites.

Blue Adhesive-Backed Gems -#153547

There are so many shades of blue or hints of blue in these adhesive-backed gems – how gorgeous! While they are designed to coordinate with the Snowflake Splendor Suite, they are sure to work with a variety of colors and projects. Here’s a look:

There’s something really unique about the luminous colors in the Iridescent Pearls. These pearls are reminiscent of bubbles or gasoline on water, picking up all sorts of colors, depending on the angle you get or the light that hits at that very moment. These pearls are found in the Magic in This Night Suite, but are a great accent on almost any type of card. Here’s a look:

  4. It’s always fun to see what others’ favorites are. I, too, love the bow set, especially the striped bow with the punch, which makes things easy to get the project completed. Have a great weekend.
