You are So Special for CTS392

This week’s CAS(E) This Sketch challenge layout includes an array of flowers on a band across a cardfront. Oooo-eeee! There are so many great flower images I could reach for to make a card for this challenge, but the recent turn of temperatures in Atlanta have me in a mood to make a Winter card. My card has a Winter backdrop but shares a sweet sentiment that I love so much. Here’s my card:

And here’s the banner for the challenge that inspired my card:

CTS392Tips, Tricks and Reminders

  • A Special Combination. There are several great products on this simple card – and I’m going to get to all of them, but I want to start with the sentiment. There’s a reason the Tasteful Touches Bundle was at the top of my Favorite Things list from Stampin’ Up!’s 2020 Annual Catalog. The mix of great sentiments, in-style images and AMAZING labels dies make this bundle a must-have. Here’s a look at the Tasteful Touches Bundle: Tasteful Touches Bundle, Stampin Up!, 154098I stamped the “you are so special” sentiment with Early Espresso on Thick Whisper White and cropped it with the top, left die from the Tasteful Labels Dies. If you do nothing else today, please take a second look at this set of dies. ♥
  • Stamping on Designer Series Paper. The panel behind my sentiment features a favorite technique of mine – stamping directly on Designer Series Paper. I used two Christmas-themed products (one from the Annual Catalog and one from the August – December Mini Catalog) to create this beautiful look.  Winter Woods, Tasteful Touches, Stampin Up!, Brian KingWith Early Espresso ink, I stamped this row of leafless Winter Woods trees twice on a 2-1/2″ x 4-1/4″ band of paper from the Snowflake Splendor Designer Series Paper. Here’s a look at the colors and patterns in this festive pack of papers: Snowflake Splendor Designer Series Paper, Stampin Up! 153512
  • Warm Color Combination. The mix of colors on this card is intentional. When you look out over this icy, cold landscape, there’s nothing better than a gorgeous mix of browns to warm you up a bit. If you like this mix of Pool Party, Crumb Cake and Early Espresso as much as I do, I hope you will save this for future reference:Stampin' Up!
