I Believe

Now that we have Thanksgiving under our belt (which, incidentally, is positioned one loophole away from where it was before the holiday), it’s time to focus on the December holidays. I know I’ve already peppered in some Christmas cards (it’s hard to NOT play with the new sets in Stampin’ Up!’s August – December 2020 Mini Catalog), my focus will be on Christmas before I turn my attention to products from the upcoming January – June 2021 Mini Catalog – oh, what fun! Speaking of fun, here’s my card:

Christmas Means More, Heartwarming Hugs, Stampin Up!, Brian King

Tips, Tricks and Reminders

  • Christmas Means More. I love stamp sets with bold sentiments that can really make a card special. The Christmas Means More stamp set features some really great sentiments from popular Christmas movies. The set is particularly fun now that we are tuning in to Christmas movies as we decorate and get in the mood. Here’s a look at the Christmas Means More stamp set.Christmas Means More, Stampin Up!, 154730Are you able to name the movie from which each of the quotes is derived? I’m going to help you out:
    • “I believe. It’s silly, but I believe” is from Miracle on 34th Street.
    • “Maybe Christmas means a little bit more” is from The Grinch.
    • “Every time a bell rings an angel gets its wings” is from It’s a Wonderful Life.
    • “The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear” is from my all-time favorite Christmas movie, Elf.
  • Color Combination. I used 3/4″ wide scraps of the gorgeous, striped paper in the Heartwarming Hugs Designer Series Paper to build a fun background on this card – this is one of my all-time favorite packs of papers (love the colors, love the patterns). Here’s a look at the colors and patterns in Heartwarming Hugs Designer Series Paper: Heartwarming Hugs Designer Series Paper, Stampin Up!, 153492And here’s a closer look of how these strips defined this card: Christmas Means More, Heartwarming Hugs, Stampin Up!, Brian KingIsn’t that sentiment perfect when framed inside these two dies from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies?!
