Sneak Peek: Always In My Heart

Stampin’ Up!’s January – June 2021 Mini Catalog is live in less than a week, and I’m excited to share another Valentine’s Day project with a wonderful, new bundle in the catalog. As a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator, I can purchase some of these products now, so I (understandably) have been playing with my new goodies. Yay! Here’s a sweet Valentine’s Day card I made with the new bundle:

Tips, Tricks and Reminders

  • Always in My Heart Bundle. The Love You Always Suite Collection, the first product suite in Stampin’ Up!’s January – June 2021 Mini Catalog, is all about love. The suite (which includes two bundles, paper and embellishments) covers Valentine’s Day, weddings, anniversaries and other occasions about love. I shared a project with the Forever & Always Bundle last week (you can see that here). Here’s a look at the Always in My Heart Bundle, which includes the Always in My Heart stamp set and Floral Heart Dies, featured on today’s card:Always in My Heart Bundle, Stampin Up!, Brian KingI love the heart, and I love the banner (can be used with Be My Valentine or Happy Anniversary), but I also love the fun border dies and floral elements in the dies. Don’t pass up the great sentiments in the set!
  • True Love Designer Series Paper. I’ve been excited to play with the new Floral Heart Dies since I first laid eyes on them in the new catalog. There are so many great dies in this set of dies, but the large floral die takes the cake – what a gorgeous cutout. Here’s a closer look: Always in My Heart Bundle, Stampin Up!, Brian King, Valentines Day cardI cut my die with a page of thin black-and-white stripes from the True Love Designer Series Paper. I pulled the idea right out of the catalog (page 10 of the new Mini Catalog features a cutout with this die and this paper – I turned it into a card). • Color Combination. The colors on this card are perfectly suited for Valentine’s Day – black, white and two pinks. I cropped the floral heart die with True Love Designer Series Paper and again with Melon Mambo cardstock. That gave me a perfectly pink heart to insert into my cutout. If you like this mix of Blushing Bride, Melon Mambo and Basic Black as much as I do, I hope you’ll save this for future reference: Stampin Up! Good morning, Brian!
What a striking Valentine card! I recently saw a sneak peek of this bundle on YouTube and it reminded me of making Valentines as a child with red, pink, and black construction paper, white doilies, etc. and folding the paper in half to cut the hearts 💕 Great use of the bundle, the DSP, and your creativity! Thank you, Brian!

    • Thanks so much, Suzie! I usually try to focus on just one of the Valentine’s Day bundles, but ALL of them are quite wonderful. I like that they are versatile to be used for other love-themed occasions, too! ♥

  2. The die cut behind the heart is striking in that striped paper! Pretty Valentine!

  3. Really striking how you used the DSP for the foliage!

  4. Love this DSP ! I just got mine and there are miles of fun coloring to be done ! BUT ….look how you used it in Black and White !! So creative and crafty !! Plus love the scroll for the sentiment ….classy !

    • Isn’t the scroll neat?! I’ve used this paper twice and haven’t yet added color (even though the coloring is why I bought it). 🙂 You’re going to love it, Sonny! ♥

  5. This card is BEAUTIFUL Brian. And the color combination…..SERIOUSLY the best!!!

  6. What a gorgeous Valentine! I am ready to create with hearts!

  7. That’s a wow card…love the detailed die cut with designer paper! Genius!

    • I can’t take credit for that idea – swiped it right out of the catalog and just made it into a card. I agree, though, that it’s pretty cool. 🙂 Thanks, Windy!

  8. That detailed heart die is amazing! Love the love card!

  9. The color combination is a striking background for your beautiful die cut using the DSP! Great design work, Brian!

  10. Lovely card! Ordered this bundle and am anxiously looking for UPS, especially now that I have seen your great card!

  11. I love the floral heart cut from the diagonal black and white DSP. The color combo is perfect. Great job! This paper was not on my Wish List, but now it’s getting closer with your beautiful cards. Have a wonderful day!

  12. Wow, that die on the striped paper is stunning! And I have looked through my mini catalog many-many-many times and had not noticed it on page 10. Maybe we just needed your put-together version to make it pop!

    • Thank you so much, Beth Ann! I’m so happy you like it – and happy I was able to point out that sample to you. I’m having loads of fun with this new catalog! ♥

  13. Brian, this is beautiful! Perfectly die cutting on the horizontal stripe is genius! Love it.
