We’re in this Together – Heal Your Heart

When Stampin’ Up! designed the gorgeous sentiments in the Heal Your Heart stamp set (one of the free options you can choose with a $50 order during Sale-a-Bration), they certainly couldn’t have expected how necessary the “we’re in this together” sentiment would be. There’s a lot of pain in the world right now, which requires a lot of comfort, and Heal Your Heart offers beautiful ways to say beautiful things. I have been excited to ink up the “we’re in this together” sentiment, so I did! Here’s my card:

Heal Your Heart, Stampin Up!, Brian KingThis card measures 5″ x 7-1/2″ (scored at 3-3/4″). It’s just a little smaller than a typical card and fits nicely inside a standard envelope.

Tips, Tricks and Reminders

  • Heal Your Heart. I love Stampin’ Up!’s Sale-a-Bration event! During this two-month sales event, customers can earn exclusive products when they shop for the products they already want. This year’s offering includes a mix of incredible Designer Series Papers and stamp sets. Today’s card features a sentiment from the Heal Your Heart, which can be yours for free with a $50 purchase between now and February 28. Here’s a look at this beautiful stamp set: Heal Your Heart, Stampin Up! 155291Please take a moment to read these beautiful sentiments – it might be easy to pass over a stamp set that doesn’t have images, but these sentiments are beautiful statements in beautiful fonts.
  • True Love. When it comes to the True Love Designer Series Paper, it was true love at first sight. Here’s a look at the colors and patterns in this wonderful pack of Designer Series Papers:True Love Designer Series Paper, Stampin Up!, 154281You knew I was going to be coloring the black-and-white pages, and I’m having a ball with it. The focal panel on today’s card features flowers, leaves and succulents that is gorgeous on its own, but I gave it a little life with my Stampin’ Blends. I used a mix of So Saffron, Soft Sea Foam, Mint Macaron, Pool Party, Daffodil Delight and Rococo Rose Stampin’ Blends to build my background. Here’s a closer look: Heal Your Heart, Stampin Up!, Brian KingThis black-and-white striped heart sort of clashes with the background – both are very busy patterns so I normally wouldn’t use them together. Because the heart blends in to the background, but also stands out, I quite like it here. It allows the sentiment and background to garner more attention.
  • Color Combination. For two pages of black-and-white paper on a black base, there are a lot of great colors on this card. Thanks, Stampin’ Blends! This beautiful mix of greens, yellows and pinks makes a beautiful backdrop for this heart and sentiment. I picked three of the softest that look really great together to highlight here. If you like this combination of So Saffron, Mint Macaron and Rococo Rose as much I do, I hope you’ll save this for future reference: Stampin Up!
