More Inspiration with Butterfly Bouquet

This past week has been all about butterflies on my blog and in my craft room. Over the past five days, I’ve shared four butterfly-filled projects. I’ve loved playing with this new collection FAR MORE than I expected I would. The bundle is incredible, and the coordinating papers are out-of-this-world. Such fun!

Today I’m going to take a closer look at the three projects at the center of Stampin’ Up!’s Butterfly Bouquet promotion. Before I do, though, let’s take a quick look at all of the products in the Butterfly Bouquet Collection. Here’s a look:

Three Inspiration Projects

Stampin’ Up! has created some beautiful promotional materials to help us showcase the Butterfly Bouquet Collection (it’s really easy to make beautiful promotional materials when the products are so amazing, right?). Here’s a look at one of the promotional images:

In the promotional image above, Stampin’ Up! has given us three great cards that showcase the beauty and versatility of the products in the Butterfly Bouquet Collection. I’m going to give you a closer look at each card and give you some insight into each (I’ve studied them a bit).

CARD 1

This card features six panels (alternating between the Butterfly Bijou 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper and the Natural Touch Specialty Paper) and three beautiful butterflies:

Butterfly Bouquet Collection, Stampin Up! samplesEach of the butterflies is cropped on this card is cropped from the Butterfly Bijou 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper with the Brilliant Wings Dies. It only takes one pass through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine since the outline die lines up perfect with all six butterflies in the paper:

Butterfly Bijou, Butterfly Wings Dies, Stampin Up!, Brian KingYou might expect all of the panels on this card to be squares, but it appears there are three rectangles (from the Natural Touch Specialty Paper) and three squares (from the Butterfly Bijou 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper). I love the dotted texture behind each of the butterflies (one of the dies in the Brilliant Wings Dies). Such a fun element on this card. The Flowers for Every Season Gems add a wonderful shine on this card, too!

Here are the products used on this beautiful card:

Stamps: Many Mates, Butterfly Brilliance  Paper: Butterfly Bijou 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper, Natural Touch Specialty Paper, So Saffron, Basic White  Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black  Accessories: Flowers for Every Season Gems, Brilliant Wings Dies

CARD 2

The colors on the second card are a gorgeous mix of three of the 2020-2022 In Colors – Just Jade, Magenta Madness and Misty Moonlight, along with some other fun elements that make this card so special:

Butterfly Bouquet Collection, Stampin Up! samplesThe Butterfly Bijou 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper sets a gorgeous tone as a backdrop on this card. I just love those colors. There’s another panel of this paper behind the ribbon, too! I love the torn edges – they add a lovely texture to this card. Another interesting element that stands out to me – the stamped and cropped butterfly isn’t the same size as the detailed butterfly cropped with the Natural Touch Specialty Paper, but they work wonderfully together. You might not have noticed the rectangle of velum cardstock behind the butterfly and ribbon, but there’s one there. You know I love that, right?! The sentiment on this card is heat embossed from the So Sentimental Stamp Set (one of my favorites!) and hand-shipped. Love it!

Here are the products used on this wonderful card:

Stamps: So Sentimental, Butterfly Brilliance  Paper: Butterfly Bijou 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper, Natural Touch Specialty Paper, Just Jade, Misty Moonlight, Vellum Cardstock  Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Versamark, Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blends  Accessories: Brilliant Wings Dies, 1/4″ Magenta Madness 2020-2022 In Color Ribbon, Rhinestone Basic Jewels, Embossing Powder, Heat Tool, Stampin’ Dimensionals

CARD 3

The third card in this promotional piece is my favorite of the three. Five butterflies (some hand-colored and some straight from the Designer Series Paper) against a majestic backdrop.

Butterfly Bouquet Collection, Stampin Up! samplesI love a butterfly. I love two butterflies. More than that can be a swarm. These five butterflies, though, stock nicely between these two background pieces. The first and third butterfly are cropped from the Butterfly Bijou 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper with the Brilliant Wings Dies. The other three butterflies are stamped with the Butterfly Brilliance, colored with Stampin’ Blends and cropped with the Brilliant Wings Dies. I love that the 2020-2022 In Color Enamel Shapes pair so beautifully with these colors. I also love the texture added to the Natural Touch Specialty Paper with the thatched die in the Brilliant Wings Dies. Such a fun element on this card.

Here are the products used on this super-fun card:

Stamps: Butterfly Brilliance, Itty Bitty Greetings  Papers: Butterfly Bijou 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper, Natural Touch Specialty Paper, Basic Black, Vellum Cardstock, Basic White  Inks: Memento Tuxedo Black, Versamark, Stampin’ Blends (Magenta Madness, Just Jade, So Saffron, Basic Black)  Accessories: Brilliant Wings Dies, 2020-2022 In Color Enamel Dots, White Stampin’ Emboss Powder, 1/4″ Magenta Madness 2020-2022 In Color Ribbon, Stampin’ Dimensionals

I hope you’ve enjoyed my recap of these three cards – there are so many elements that make me say “I wish I’d thought of that.” Such great inspiration! If you haven’t already picked up the Butterfly Bouquet items, I hope you’ll give them another look.
