You Are Amazing Project Kit

When Mom comes to visit, I always have a card kit or two for her to play with. She loves to stamp but doesn’t always have the vision for what she wants to make. While I’m working (I am still working from home), she can sit quietly and play. The project kits come with instructions and nearly everything you need to complete the kits. Mom is fully vaccinated and finished her taxes, so she was able to pack the car and come stay with me for a bit (hadn’t seen her since last year).

Here she is with four of the completed cards she made from the You Are Amazing Project Kit:

My Mom with the You Are Amazing Project Kit, Stampin Up!Here’s a look at the instructions from this kit that includes enough to make 16 cards and includes coordinating envelopes:

You Are Amazing Project Kit, Stampin Up!There’s a stamp set that coordinates with this kit (but is sold separately from the kit). It’s one of my all-time favorite stamp sets – and I think you should buy it even if you don’t buy the coordinating kit (but you really should buy both). Here’s a look at the You Are Amazing stamp set:

So…not only does the kit keep her occupied and happy, but she now has 16 cards to send to friends and family – AND I have a blog post out of it. 🙂

  1. How lovely and thoughtful. Give your Mam a hug from me. I think that’s a great way to spend time together.
    Love the cards

  2. Hi Brian, It’s great seeing your mom featured again. Enjoy her visit!

    • Thanks, Robin! We’ve had a great time! She moved closer to us last summer (only 2 hours away vs. 4), but we haven’t been able to see her as much as we’d like. Happy we can visit again, and I hope you’ll be seeing more of her. ♥

  3. So glad your mom can be out and about now. Hope you two had a great visit! The cards are a win/win!

  4. That kit is definitely cute….love those sentiments! And I love that your mom finally got to visit and play cards! Hooray for the vaccine!

    • Thanks so much, Linda! We’ve enjoyed this visit (even though work is keeping me really busy). SO happy to be on this side of this thing. ♥

  5. I’ve been thinking of your Mother and wondering if how she was doing during this difficult time! SO good to see her face, love her hair cut, and that great smile. Very glad for both of you that she could come and stay with you. Best to the both of you!!

    • Thanks, Evelyn! I took Mom to get her hair styled and cut on Saturday – it’s the first she’s had in more than a year (other than my brother cutting at the edges a bit). It was longer than I’ve ever seen it – and she was ready for this shorter cut. ♥

  6. Hi Miss Mary! Love that the two of you paper craft together! Beautiful cards from this kit!

  7. Nice job, Mom! Great cards with a great kit and stamp set.

  8. Oh Ms. Mary, you look great! Miss you! Hugs!

  9. Oh Brian, this is so wonderful to have your Mom with you again. I have always stamped and crafted with my Mom, now 94. I can’t wait to see her (in WI) again after a year. I live in Montana. And now we both have been vaccinated. Enjoy your time with her.

    • Thanks, Karin! Mom moved closer to us (sold her house and moved into a new one during the pandemic), but we haven’t really been able to visit. It’s so nice to be vaccinated so we can visit again. We’ve had a great time together!

  10. How did I miss this kit ? Mary, love your cards ! So glad you are able to come stay for a visit now ! Brian missed you !
Great card displays from both of you !

    • Sonny, Sonny, Sonny…it’s only the first thing you see in the new catalog (or, at least, right up at the front). It’s THE BEST stamp set and a really great kit. ♥

  11. It’s great to see your Mom again. She looks great as always. What fun to have this kit for her to play with. Cute cards. Enjoy her visit.

  14. Yippeeeee, Ms Mary is back in town! I’m sure this visit is extra special. I’m visiting my granddaughter for the first time in a year as well. Brian, I love the picture of Ms Mary holding the complete set of cards, it says it all!
    Keep enjoying the visit.

    • Thank you so much, Katrina! This visit has been a long time coming, and we’ve enjoyed having her here. She had fun with this kit and got “all dolled up” for a Zoom call with my team – such fun.

  15. Hi Mary! So good to see you and you DO look fabulous. I hope you are enjoying being with Brian for a bit after not seeing him for an entire year!
    Hi Brian:
Sorry to say that you go to second place when Mary comes. We all love her and yes, you too so don’t get jealous. You’re a great son!

I must say – she did a great job on those cards. Thanks for sharing.

    • I get it, Grace! I post every day and get 5 comments a day. Mom pops in and gets pages of comments. I know where y’all’s loyalties lay. 🙂 It’s all good, Grace, and I totally understand. ♥

  16. Such a sweet set of cards! Mary, you look AMAZING! It’s so wonderful to see your smiling face here. Brian, you are one lucky son. Hugs to you both!

  17. What a treat to see Ms. Mary’s smiling face again. Overjoyed for you that she can visit; we all know what it means to you, Brian.
Mary, thanks for sharing those lovely cards. We all know where your talented son gets his skills!

  18. Your mom is adorable, and I’m loving the role reversal (“she can sit quietly and play”) :D. She did a wonderful job with this kit!

    • I’m so happy you picked up on that. It’s like how so many parents just put their kids down in front of the TV so they can get chores done around the house. I can put Mom in front of a kit and focus for a couple of hours. 🙂

  19. Hi Momma King! So glad you were able to come for a visit and stamp a while! Great looking projects! 🙂

  20. It is wonderful to see your Mom again! And glad she was so well behaved (learned it from you, I suppose??? hahaha)
    Hello to Miss Mary!
