That’s Mighty Kind of You

I had a conversation with a customer this week who struggles to push the “add to cart” button if she doesn’t like every image or every sentiment in a stamp set. I get it – sometimes there’s not enough in a design for a set to make it to my shopping cart. That said, it can often take one image or one sentiment in a set for that set to mysteriously appear in my shopping cart. There’s a lot to love about the Ride the Range Bundle in Stampin’ Up!’s January – June 2021 Mini Catalog (the cowboy, the hay bales, the windmill), but it was the “that’s mighty kind of you” sentiment that won my heart and convinced me to push the button on this sweet set. Here’s a simple thank you card with elements from this fun bundle:

FabFri213Tips, Tricks and Reminders

  • Ride the Range. It’s possible that you made your way through Stampin’ Up!’s January – June 2021 Mini Catalog several times and still haven’t see the Ride the Range Bundle. It’s not on the cover, and it’s not a component of a featured suite. Still, there’s something so heartwarming about the sentiments, images and dies in the bundle. Here’s a look at the Ride the Range Bundle, which includes the Ride the Range cling stamp set and coordinating Open Range Dies: Ride the Range Bundle, Stampin Up! 156243Cute, huh? The set can be used to make cute card for the grand kids or a sophisticated card for your adult friends. I love the versatility.
  • Making a Scene. I had loads of fun building the little scene at the heart of my card. The rolling hill, wooden windmill, fence and clouds are all cut from the Open Range Dies – together (and inside a Stitched Rectangle Die), they make a peaceful scene, don’t they? Here’s a closer look: Ride the Range Bundle, Stampin Up!, Brian King, thank you cardBehind the scene, I added a panel of Crumb Cake that I embossed with the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder. The embossed panel fills the rest of the card without distracting from the adorable scene at the center of the card. Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder, Stampin Up! 152718
  • Color Combination. My card features three colors that really set the tone for the scene I’ve created – if you were standing in this scene, you’d notice the sky, the grass and the dirt beneath the grass. That was the inspiration for the color combination I used to build it. If you like this mix of Pool Party, Just Jade and Crumb Cake, I hope you’ll save this for future reference: Stampin Up! Color Inspiration - Pool Party, Just Jade, Crumb Cake

  2. Thanks Brian for this card. I saw the stamp set but could not get it in my head just how to make it complete. You’ve done a really great job with the texture EB folder, the die-cuts and the color combination. I’ve always loved the way you put color together.

  11. How did I miss this?!? Probably because we actually went away this past weekend – visited Newport RI and toured the Breakers to see how the Vanderbilts lived – just like us! Anyway I love this! I want to add the word “pardner” to the end of your sentiment!
